A mysterious planet that wiped out life on Earth millions of years ago could do it again, according to a top space scientist.
And some believe the apocalyptic event could happen as early as this month.
Planet Nine a new planet discovered at the edge of the solar system in January has triggered comet showers that bomb the Earths surface, killing all life, says Daniel Whitmire, of the University of Louisiana.
The astrophysicist says the planet has a 20,000-year orbit around the sun and, at its closest to us, it knocks asteroids and comets toward Earth.
Fossil evidence has suggested most life on Earth is mysteriously wiped out every 26 million to 27 million years.

I’m sure this will be on the 6 o’clock news, alongside the murders, fires, shootings, crashes and rapes.

I guess well never find out who Negan killed. All you have to do is hang out by the set when shooting begins and make note of who's not showing up to work.
I predict before Season 7 premiers in October, everyone who isn't stranded on a desert island will have a pretty good idea who Negan killed.

Well, such orbital events are highly calculable... Only if two observations are made of an orbital object. Nobody sees the little chunks until they pass by.

Second Genesis by Donald Moffitt posits it is a galactic radiation arm phenomena, and writes a very interesting multi-million year epic novel around the concept.

Think in terms of THOUSANDS of years for comets to reach the inner solar system from those distances. The average comet travels at 40km per second.
It could travel 200AU in roughly 23.7 years or 1500AU in 177.75 years.
While not thousands of years, it's still a long time.

Pardon the intrusion, a one-time ping to all who've posted in this topic... The astronomers mentioned -- as someone noted above -- didn't confirm the existence of Nibiru, and if there were something on the way here and only a month from impact, to say it would be visible in the sky would be an understatement. Nibiru is, always has been, and always will be, nuttery. Here's a chrono sort of the
