Don Trump should have read the rulebooks, because I guarantee you that Ted Cruz did. It’s like a saying lawyers have about the courtroom “Never ask a question you don’t know the answer to already.”
At least now I know where all the crackpot theories about Cruz winning at a contested convention are coming from. The Cruz campaign itself is the source. On the outside of the GOPe looking in Cruz's crew is living in a fool's paradise. In a battle with the GOPe Cruz has no leverage to apply, no bribes to offer, no power to dole out. It's just him and whatever loyalists he has on day one. Not even a rat will rally to the Cruz ship as it sinks beneath the waves.
