Last month, North Carolina became the first state to enact a measure requiring people to use bathrooms or locker rooms in schools and other public facilities that match the gender on their birth certificate rather than their gender identity.
The law, which overturned a Charlotte city ordinance, was widely interpreted as an attack on LGBT rights. State lawmakers also voted to prohibit local governments from enacting anti-discrimination protections based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

PayPal is a hypocrite.
They do business in countries that punish and kill LGBT people.
All NC did was say “Go to the bathroom with the plumbing that matches your plumbing.”
Truly a War on Women.
All week I’ve been taking my preschool girl and my mom with Alzheimer’s to public bathrooms. These are people who can’t defend themselves, in a situation where they are distracted and helpless. I don’t want men in there with them.
Hurting 100% of all women and children for the 0.01% of all people that are transgender?
From the article:
“... Last month, North Carolina became the first state to enact a measure requiring people to use bathrooms or locker rooms in schools and other public facilities that match the gender on their birth certificate rather than their gender identity...”
Truth:
South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard faces a deadline Tuesday to act on a bill passed by the state legislature that would require students to use bathrooms or locker rooms for the gender that corresponds with their chromosomes and anatomy at birth.
In addition to South Dakota, “bathroom law” fights have been launched in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
Paypal is a publicly held corporation. I do not quite understand how a CEO has decided to express his political views over his fiduciary duty to the public shareholders to maximize shareholder value. What is to keep a public corporation CEO or Board refusing to relocate operations to Oregon because of the assisted suicide law or Colorado because of the legalization of marijuana? Very slippery slope here The Board needs to fire him for violating his fiduciary duty and if they do not act why would a shareholder who does not agree with his political views not sue him and the board for violating their fiduciary duty in favor of advancing their personal political agenda?
Now I know where to vacation this year.
You mean Paypal is pusnishing the state for their ‘Anti Child Sexual Abuse Law’
Shame on Paypal
I don’t want my daughters and granddaughters looking at male parts in public restrooms. And I’ll guaran-damn-t you that 99% of US citizens agree with me.
Get an AMEX cc or exchange cash for a gift card which can be used anywhere on line unless your purchase is really from another country. Of course both of these options assumes that you are making a purchase that you have the money on hand to cover.
Interesting point. I wonder if some stockholder will begin this action.
Just closed mine.
If this isn’t a war on women what is? Anyone with a Facebook page should start a petition against PayPal.
Sounds like Christianity is being discriminated against.
Where is NOW on this? Haven’t heard a peep from them.
I have been anxious to dump them for awhile, this is the straw that broke the camels back. I think women should handle it by bloodcurdling screaming whenever they enter the door. After a scream like that the creep will need a mop and bucket.
I LIKE it!
Hopefully they will boycott themselves out of business.
Paypal is willing to hurt those people who have a right to privacy which trumps anyone’s imaginary persona.
Just closed mine. F#ck Paypal. Boycotts can work both ways.
