He's disparaged his own Republican leader as a liar and dismissed fellow senators as part of the "Washington cartel." But now, with his presidential prospects hanging in the balance, Ted Cruz is moving closer than ever to the D.C. establishment. Directly and through surrogates, the Texas senator is aggressively reaching out to his Senate colleagues as he prepares for the possibility of a convention floor fight against Donald Trump. And Cruzs emissaries on Capitol Hill are now signaling to senior Republicans that Cruz would be willing to work with them as the GOP nominee in a way Trump would not.

The only way to stop the GOPe machinations is for Cruz and Trump to join forces.
As far as the acrimony between the two, I think both are big enough to understand it's all in the game.
This is the biggest disappointment, for me, if 'they're' successful in stopping Trump. He's the only candidate that's talking about putting a stop to and fixing our illegal immigration problem.
I had dared to hope that somebody in charge could finally see what we all see. Cruz is just more of the same.....*sigh*
Trump gets death threats, is wearing a bullet proof vest, and says he is running because he can’t stand where the country is and where it is going. He didn’t have to run he chose to run to help his country.
To say otherwise disparages a man spending his own time and money.
Some who are running have spent their lives in politics and are adding notches to their belt. They spend other people’s money and campaign while tax payers foot the bill
Not necessarily. You don’t give away the store just to get a deal
No Cruzs past says he worked for the bush admin. He is a politician at heart.
I see you act just like Trump with no substance to your argument.
Trump's supporters would laud it as an amazing, brilliant stroke of genius. When he met with the GOPe late last week, there wasn't a peep of questioning as to what he was up to, etc. No big deal though... it's so commonplace, it's to be expected.
Like a certain someone who believes it's "his turn"
LOL!
Not true. Cruz reached out to the establishment first, making contact with the Bush machine through Charles Foster, an open borders immigration lawyer in Texas. Foster is now working for the Cruz campaign.

^ Word!
not a good enough reason in my book.
Really? How many govt kickbacks has Trump received, how many favors, how may buy offs, how many tax breaks?

Get proof of what you say!
It is fact that Cruz gets a government paycheck, gets government benefits, and gets government donor goodies. Fact, fact, fact.
Cruz is all in with the establishment. All fact!
“Cruz is not going to the establishment, they are coming to him! Big difference.”
Bottom line is that Cruz is letting himself be used by the “establishment”. Right now he is the ‘fair haired boy’, but when Cruz’s usefulness is complete, you see how fast the establishment gets rid of Cruz. It wasn’t that long ago that Rubio was darling of the media and the establishment, and look at where he is now.
There are a lot of reasons people run for office, you choose to believe he has altruistic reasons. You also choose to believe he is self-funding. We are not all of a like mind on this. I do not denigrate you in the slightest for your opinions, I just disagree.
you forget (or ignore) up until just a few months ago, so called conservative Cruz was for 500% increase H visas, and he voted or helped move for vote many bills for the destruction of America?
thanks for encouraging the continued demise of USofA./s
Cruz if he gets to white house will only think of Cruz as he has displayed well over this campaign and much of his life.
my reasons not to vote for him: he has never espoused a conservative principle and I have no confidence that he’s had a change of heart; he melts down like a two year old whenever there is any criticism of him, which is not the sort of temperament the leader of the free world should have. In light of those two things, your reasons do not persuade me.
