Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus cautioned supporters of Donald Trump who vocally disapprove of the GOP's delegate allocation and selection process.
"By the way, this is a nomination for the Republican Party," Priebus told 620 WTMJ in Wisconsin. "If you don't like the party, then sit down. The party is choosing a nominee."
Priebus said he does not think Trump will run as a third-party candidate, and added that he expects all remaining Republican candidates to support the party's nominee.
Asked by radio host Charlie Sykes whether the nominating rules would change from those set at the previous convention, Priebus sounded disgruntled.
"Well that was the last convention," Priebus replied. "The rules that people are talking about were the rules adopted by the Romney delegates in 2012. So I find it amazing that people would like to adopt the Romney rules to apply to the convention, which will largely be made up of Cruz and Trump delegates. Now, I don't think major changes are going to take place, but I don't get to write the rules."
Priebus insisted that, "I'm not in favor of changing the rules," but seemed to suggest that his party was moving toward the way it formerly chose a nominee many years ago. He also appeared to hint that the primaries and caucuses may not be as binding for the delegates as some have come to expect.

PING
The party left us.
They want donations to their cause only from liberals and corporations. Conservative money is unwanted.
The Republican Party can go to hell!!!
If the GOP picks someone other than one of the two front runners, you will see a large scale revolt by the people and the GOP will prove that it cares nothing about the will of the people.
Wow....he’s completely out of that closet, now. Not even hiding who will chose the GOPe nominee.
Guess Curly Haugland, the ND unbound delegate who spilled the GOPe beans, about who REALLY choses the candidate....THE PARTY, was right.
Dirty, flea infested traitors.
“F*** you,” explained Rinse Penis.
“The party left us.”
Long past time for a new Real Conservative Party. The GOP needs to go away. Now that they have come to the ludicrious notion that a few party big wigs are “the party” and not the millions of those of us who are registered Republicans, it’s time for it to go. And this change should be irrespective of the outcome of this year’s presidential election. If Trump wins, he should lead the charge for the transition away from the GOP to a successor party that excludes ALL of the GOPe in it’s bylaws.
So the “Republican Party” is not the rank and file Republican membership, but only the elite. In other words, a dictatorship. Why do I even bother to vote?
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague."

Yep.
The parties no longer work for the people, on either side, Dems and Reps. I know this sounds radical, but if they force out Trump and Sanders, which they likely will, they should team up for a third party run for the good of the countrt. Try and meet somewhere in the middle, and bring both their massive groups of supporters with them. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s the only chance they’ve got if neither get the nomination to realistically win the general election.
So we’ve lost?
This POS has to go. How do we get rid of him?
Amen.
No, more like we have only begun to fight.
He sounds to me like a “what happens, happens” kind of guy.
If Trump or Cruz wins, everybody should support the candidate.
If rules are changed it’s OK, as long as the rule changing rules are followed.
If the establishment gets a new choice in, it’s OK as long as they followed whatever the new rules are.
Technically, his statement is correct but so very asinine to convey in this way.
Delegates do choose the nominee by their votes. But delegates are expected to represent the will of the voters that participated in the GOP process.
Priebus’ statement in the backdrop of blatant disrespect for the frontrunner and the voters for the frontrunner is a slap at them.
A more palatable and smart statement would be have been the Party stands ready to nominate a candidate that represents the will of the American people who have participated in the GOP primary process.
But I have always thought Priebus was a pet of Romney.
What “RULES” do we follow for dumping the National Committee Chairman?
