I’ve known more than a few New Yorkers over the years that have moved to Texas and they love it here.

That be me too-- I dont love Tx summers though-- NY summers are great. NY taxes, cost of living and leftist pols-- not so great.

I can guess with TX summers, the temperature and relative humidity are both in the 90s.

And the bugs (it being the deep south)...Yuck.

Massachusetts is the same; great Cape Cod beaches in the summer and fall; best skiing east of the Mississippi just 2 hours north; pretty good hunting west (near NY border) and north into Maine.

The cost of living in and around Metro Boston is the killer, that’s why we live in Florida :)
