Considering that, why would we assume that a Cruz presidency would be anything but the same old corrupt DC game?

I don't know about that. When he stood there filibustering on Obamacare, that didn't look like corruption to me. I still remember the media playing the video of him reading to his kids and making fun of him. He didn't care.

For me it comes down to what's left of the Republic. It's either Trump or Cruz or a banana peel before Hillary. It will likely be too late to reverse course after another four years with Hillary. That's far more unacceptable whether I have a disagreements with Trump or Cruz.

The sad thing to me is that so many of you believe that Kabuki theatre of the filibustering. I was joyful to see it because I am so mad at Congress.

That was then, now I know that it was a setup, Mitch McConnell and Cruz devised. McConnell is supporting Cruz's campaign.

Stand for Truth McConnell's Donations

The entire Cruz -vs- McConnell dust-up was a staged event for public consumption in order to hoodwink conservatives. When you take a good look at everything newly known about Cruz, there’s a darn good reason to believe “constitutional Cruz” was a fabricated construct.

Worked for George W. Bush.
Was John Boehner’s attorney.
Married a Bush alum.
Wife connected to Council of Foreign Relations and Goldman Sachs.
Was Vice-Chair of NRSC when Thad Cochran re-elected
Ran for Senate with sketchy financials.
Refuses to release his campaign loan information to FEC.
Hired Neil Bush.
Hired entire Bush financial team.
Played strategic hide/cover with TPA/TPP.
Supported the unconstitutional Corker/Cardin amendment
Hired Phil Gramm as an advisor.
and holds a political PAC of campaign donors that looks like this: There’s a very reasonable case to be made that Ted Cruz’s opposition to ObamaCare was total phony bologna. So too was the government shutdown etc. There’s a heck of a lot more evidence that Senator Ted Cruz was acting a part to build up a false appearance of being an “outsider”. The reality is, it looks like the junior Senator Ted Cruz has hoodwinked everyone. He was always an “insider“.

When Cruz did that, I really believed he wanted to accomplish things. But he hasn't, except for trade deals where he was either played or complicit. We still have Common Core and we still have Obamacare. And now Cruz is making deals that don't move us toward unraveling that. Besides that, we have the Freedom Caucus, an impressive array of mostly newly elected Constitutional Conservatives who've been compromised by agreeing to Ryan as Speaker and not at least condemning Ryan for dealing with the devil, so to speak. We have a Republican majority in the US Senate.

What has Cruz done to use those factors to our advantage? Instead, he seems to be accepting donations and support from DC pols and globalist scum.
