Charles Koch is confident House Speaker Paul Ryan could emerge from the Republican National Convention as the partys nominee if Donald Trump comes up at least 100 delegates shy, he has told friends privately.
Koch believes Ryan would be a shoo-in at a contested convention, should the campaign get to that point. Though Koch's wealth gives him significant influence within the Republican Party, it does not necessarily translate into skill in political prognostication. Still, he and his brother David are fond of Ryan. As a source close to the brothers told the Huffington Post, they appreciate the agenda he has pursued as speaker, including opposition to tax extenders and heightened warnings against corporate welfare -- positions that contrast with the admittedly vague portfolio pushed by Donald Trump.

Koch is Cheap Labor Express.
I hate the Koch bros!
I like Charles Koch. But he apparently lives too sheltered in stinkin’ richville to have any idea about what the rest of the republican electorate thinks and wants. That plan would be an utter disaster.
hell no...
Try it, if they want a revolution
Will Ryan subjected to dozens of GOP corrupt debate game shows like Trump was?
Maybe he can debate Grinnin’ Joe again.
Good. Seeing as how Ryan and his fellow elitists have announced they will not vote for Trump, I won’t feel bad not voting for Ryan.
‘they’ can nominate him , it doesn’t mean any other than the lamest of Republican sheep will vote for him .
They want to create something new:
Kamikaze Voter
Every Democrat for every office in every election until there is no GOP
GOP-RIP
GOP nominee Paul Ryan? The guy who did the impossible and lost a debate to Joe Biden? Ha!
And it doesn’t matter what Ryan says about declining, honesty is not the GOP’s strong suit, to understate the matter. But if they do this, there is going to be all hell break loose in the rank-and-file-I hope.
That’s nice. Just one question.
Who you gonna get to vote for him?
Paul Ryan? Nah, there have to be better choices.
Here’s what I’d like to know. Assume simply for the sake of argument that we end up in a contested convention (I think Trump will reach 1237 in the last round of primaries making all of this moot, but bear with me).
OK, the convention is booked for 4 or 5 days. Hotels, services, etc. Delegates and others plan on leaving when it’s over. Assume that no candidate wins after repeated ballots. People get antsy, want to go home, some actually drift away, but the vote still fails to yield a candidate.
The moment comes when the convention is set to end, and STILL no candidate has achieved a majority of deletes. More leave, just giving up.
What happens? No candidate? Prolong convention? Last minute rule change pushed by those present to change the number required? Or...?
Just wondering.
If Ryan is nominated, Hillary will win which means the GOPe’s
will win too.
Unfortunately for the GOPe’s the ballot down candidates will get
slaughtered. The good, the bad and the ugly will be thrown out.
That will be the price the GOP pays for screwing most of the grassroots.
Well, let’s shop Target instead.
All of our heros have become villians.
I never would have expected Cruz to become the anti-voter candidate.
