thanks for posting this Lysie.. Interesting video.. I left a remark at his offering
My Josy was a trained cadaver dog and was good at underwater. She only did fresh water and was mostly used in streams
Her team out of Clyde ohio was the one that located the body of the little girl in Fla that was in the garbage bag several years ago. Josy was not along on that trip but talking to the other handlers it was a frustrating search as the dogs all knew where the body was but the sheriff in charge of the search would not let them go into the wooded areas as he said it had already been thoroughly searched. As it turned out the childs body was put there after the search was done in that area not too far from grandparents and mother’s home

That dog was something else!
BTW all the talk of clams and Seafood in Maine last night.
We have good seafood on the Left Coast, too :-)
Halibut, Salmon, Clams, Oysters, Alaskan Cod, etc. I’m not sure how our clams compare to those in Maine.
Most restaurants serve at least some seafood. There are some seafood restaurants with Ivar’s in the name. The original one was started in 1938 on the Seattle waterfront by a man of the same name. He has a few others, including a few fast-food type (seafood bars). Great clam chowder, fish and fries, etc..
Here’s the menu for Ivar’s Acre of Clams (there’s also Ivar’s Salmon House): http://www.ivars.com/locations/acres-of-clams/acres-of-clams-menus
Okay.....THAT was so cool! The lobster catching dog.
Good dog!! Smart dog :)
Using a dog or dogs to catch lobster as this young guy is showing, is this typical or actually unusual for using dogs? The dog Lila looks like she really enjoys the water. Thanks.
Good Doggie!
