I know. That would make Sessions 73 or 77 if he were to follow Trump.

Bachman’s as tough on Illegal Immigration as Trump is.

Not a new idea. Trump said it weeks ago.

Fine, then once elected, DJT can ask for his resignation and appoint who HE wants! : )

“...walk into the Senate and who’s been friendly with these guys for 25 years”

I think Trump is making a lot of sense here. Also, his style is to have a “board” or team, yes lieutenants if you will but not “underlings” or yes “men” but “on their feet” and actionable contributors and “on the wire” and team players, no one is to be in the corner but front and center. His cabinet will be like that, like a major business project and deal.

So I like his style 100%, but I have no idea who he has in mind. I first thought Newt, which would be good in my book, but honestly I have no clue but trust Trump on this.

It won’t be Cruz, at least I hope not.

Sessions good, actually there are some goods ones. I hope Trump lets us know sooner than later, but he has implied it would be after the nomination. I think just before NY would be good timing, actually it would help his csmpaign to let us know. I don’t think it has to be a current or past Senator. I think Rudolph William Louis “Rudy” Giuliani would be great too, besides Newt, bit Christie is another I would like in this case. But I am not as much of an expert on strategy and best fit like some of the other Trump supporters, I just feel he should move on it sooner to try and lock in delegates.

Whoever it is, I hope it helps with the message regarding the issues that actually drive this election, and no matter how you feel about it (for example, I am against abortion) it isn’t abortion, gay marriage, climate change, black lives matter, Palestine - Israel, “war on women”, minimum wage, semi-nudes, nor how loud you yell “Praise Jesus!” or deflated NFL footballs, none of that.

IT IS ABOUT THE ECONOMY AND JOBS, IMMIGRATION BOTH LEGAL AND ILLEGAL, AND ISLAMIC TERRORISM.

Period. But I think you can add crime to that as well, though not as important these three.

DeMint is a name that fits and a fine choice, but if Trump has trouble winning SC without DeMint, he won’t get close to 270, I’m, afraid.

Someone upthread mentioned him as a possible choice, due to his experience in the Senate. I hadn’t thought about the primary.

Other than Harry Reid fitting Trump's description he wants for VP - The only other candidate that comes to mind is Chuck Schumer. That might get him New York, and there you go. ,p> Trump/Schumer 2016. It makes the most sense for Trump. ( I don't think Feinstein could help him capture California)

Yet all you do is to get Paul Ryan nominated at a contested convention.

Well those are Trump’s words and expectations of experience not mine. I’m just saying that even if his VP is going to do the heavy lifting with Congress there is going to have to be a meeting of the minds somewhere along the way.

Absolutely. Has to have the same vision, priorities, and fire!

Really? Delegates, eh?

Weird.

The more I learn about the “political process”< the more disgusting and corrupt it reveals itself to be.

What’s great about DJT is, if the pickins’ are slim, and there’s no one that meets his standards, he won’t hesitate to go outside the box, do whatever it takes to get the best match in a working partner for him. We can rest assured : )

You sound as though you know whereof you speak.

I don’t have that much time to read on FR so there are various people whose comments I check when I come on. I’ll add your name!
