You’re embarassing.
Chris Christie, Newt and Huckabee have switched to Cruz?
At best, I think all that Cruz can hope for is a veep slot on a GOPe installed ticket ...will you support it ?
True, but they are actually few compared to....Us...
Yeah, there should be more curiosity about Trump truly understanding ‘why we always lose’ when he’s out donated to Harry Reid’s recent re-election. Trumps excuse is he was a business man and had to play Mr Nice-guy.
Unfortunately Cruz only really brought it up in the last debate, when he should have been pointing it out from the beginning.
That said, if Wisconsin is an open primary as I think, Trump should win and all this weeks media shilling polls to promote Cruz didn’t give enough consideration to the Trump voter turn-out from new voters and Democrats.
He’s a placeholder for the establishment. His only purpose it to prevent Trump from getting a first round majority of delegates. After that they will dump him for Ryan, Romney, Rubio, etc.
If Cruz loved the Constitution he wouldnt run. Cruz is all about his ambition and nothing else.
****************************************
He could have done the Constitution a great service by explaining to the public why he would not run, because like Obama, he was ineligible.
1234 No Trump... Will never vote for Trump.. I would vote for Jeb before I’d vote for Trump.. That is how dangerous I think he is!!!
Your description best fits Ted Cruz. Assuming he could even win.
Trump is the only candidate who could bring congressional RINOs to heel.
No points for you this round.
Actually Cruz has had a huge effect on what the House congressman did and don’t vote for. He stymied all sorts of leadership plans strategizing with House conservatives and giving them inspiration to act and not capitulate to the Boehner leadership team. No one had more influence since 2013 on the direction of congress. He regularly met with members to stop bad bills and promote more conservative issues. That’s why the leadership hated him so damn much.
Thanks to people like Zero, W and Ted Cruz we are no longer living in a constitutional republic.
Agreed!!
Conservative, Christian and constant liar are not compatible with each other...
Trump on the other hand, would be the equivalent of a bull riding a wrecking ball through the china shop, and leaving no delicate teacup unscathed.
Bingo! He has been running for President sine he became Sen. He knew he needed Texas so he played Mr. Outsider to curry favor with the Texas voters. He won because the rank and file were mad at Dewhurst including me. Now I realize I was used. How can a transplanted Canadian with a Dad from Cuba and a Mom who lived primarily in other countries understand Texas?
Not to mention a wife that works for Goldman Sachs and was also a DC insider? Cruz spent most of his time in Texas shoring up Texas GOP electeds and leadership to ensure Texas would be in his column.
Such an enlightening deep comment LOL.
Unlike Trump who has no ego in the game?
Have you no grip at all on reality?
Noting that I will vote for Cruz if nominated, regarding his so-called evangelical support, I suspect that Cruzs campaign is actually based on the bully pulpit.
Since the Constitution prohibits Congress from making religion-related laws, how are Christians expecting Constitution expert Cruz to support them as POTUS since he is constitutionally obligated to veto any religion-related bill that Congress puts on his desk?
Or are Christians unthinkingly expecting Cruz to follow in lawless Obamas footsteps by making unconstitutional executive orders that favor Christians?
Note that regardless what FDRs state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices wanted citizens to think about the government and the establishment clause, the states have always had the 10th Amendment-protected power to make religious policy, the states obligating themselves to make sure that such policies dont abridge constitutionally enumerated rights when they ratified the 14th Amendment.
So why are Christians seemingly turning to the feds, as evidenced by evangelical support for Cruz, the feds having no constitutional authority to make laws regulating religion, when Christians should be working religious issues with their state and local governments?
Forgetting for a second Trump's current GOPe backers, you are now putting yourself on record that if Romney backs Trump at any point before November, you are going to renounce Trump.
