Ted Cruz was standing on the floor of the United States Senate all night long fighting overwhelming odds with a urine bag strapped to his leg for us, for conservatism while Donald Trump was bribing politicians and funding the very Rino Senators like Mitch McConnell against whom Ted Cruz and all of us were striving.
It is part of the natural and ordained process if the convention goes into an open convention because Trump cannot secure the requisite 1237 delegates necessary for the nomination, that both candidates will court votes of who will be free to vote their consciences. This is the procedure that nominated Abraham Lincoln, a minority candidate, and has been the procedure ever since.
No one believes that Donald Trump who has spent his entire career bribing politicians will not attempt to bribe the very Rino delegates to make up the shortfall and get the nomination. This is not a one-way street, if it is all right for Donald Trump it should be all right for Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz is showing himself the better campaign manager by securing support in advance and putting the lie Donald trumps boasts of his ability to make deals.
We shall see whether he can make these deals when it counts but we will should not deceive ourselves that Donald Trump is George Washington or deceive ourselves that Donald Trump is above bribing delegates.
“We shall see whether he can make these deals when it counts but we will should not deceive ourselves that Donald Trump is George Washington or deceive ourselves that Donald Trump is above bribing delegates.”
Then, of course, there’s all that “deal-making” to be done once in office. Whose money will it be then?
That money he gave to politicians is called "protection money." If big businesses do not donate to politicians (of any party), they will destroy the business. It is typical for businesses to give to all top candidates of both parties during an election.
And it is a fact that wheeling and dealing has to happen to get anything done. You are calling it bribery, but it isn't: it is the way things get done, and there seems to be no alternative. Trump knows how to negotiate and he has a solid record of negotiation. Cruz has very little record at all of getting things done, and it seems he supports amnesty, and the ill-named "immigration reform" aka opening the border.
If you don't like the system, supporting the candidate who was cut out of the same cloth as those who created the system is hardly the way to get it dismantled. The only way to do that is to get a smart outsider, who is tough and can stand up to the entrenched powers that be.
the same money which paid cruz off and cruz was a whore taking it.
Bump!
In a kind & gentle way...i amshamed of you. As an avid American history buff....I certainly know who “Nathan Bedford” was. He was a great Confederate, son-of-the-South, leader, a man outside the box at all times, and he drove the Union Army insane with his “horse raider” attacks which were always smashingly successful.
That you would admire and even support Ted Cruz who has fallen prey to the entire GOP Establishment is hard to believe. Bedford would have told Mitt Romney, etc., to take a hike...period.
In the Revolution, the Southern Campaign was in total disarray, with the Colonials in full retreat.....Cornwallis had whipped them handily in Charleston & just about had taken all of North & South Carolina and the British were headed to finally defeating Washington. But.......Washington, stuck in New York dispatched General Greene, Greene chose to activate General Daniel Morgan out-of-retirement, and upon arrivng in the Southern Campaign, immediately split his small army, sending Morgan into South Carolina to harass Cornwallis, while he annoyed the British in North Carolina.
Hence, the Battle of Cow Pens, where Morgan was badly outnumbered by the British forces. The Southern boys (Militia Volunteers from North & South Carolina & Virgina) joined Morgan by the hundreds) giving Morgan the manpower he needed. The entire story of the Morgan Southern campaign is fantastic to read. Morgan was like Donald J. Trump, a leader and decision maker blessed with great intuition & immense talent. Ted Cruz has led nothing but himself in his entire life....never hired one person, never worked in the private sector, never signed someone Else’s paycheck, has been led by the nose, by the GOP Establishment, and will thrown on the garbage heap, as soon as the GOP (E) has him serve his purpose. Sad....that so many great, good, folks, cannot see the forest for the trees!!! GO DONALD J. TRUMP!!!
Trump is flawed, no question, but he is an alpha, a leader, inspirational, American to his core, and he hates what the globalists have done to this country. A Trump victory preserves America for more "perfect" conservatives to follow. A Cruz convention theft guarantees its demise.
