With more than half of the 2016 presidential primary races in the history books, Republicans desperate to deny Donald Trump their partys nomination now say Wisconsin, where Ted Cruz is leading, will show that their effort has turned the tide. They shouldnt start bragging yet.
At a televised Republican town hall on Tuesday, it was painful to watch farmers, students and a man whose son died of a drug overdose pose earnest questions to Mr. Trump and Mr. Cruz, who were more interested in attacking each other. Only John Kasich connected with these voters.
Despite its noble aim and big budget, Never Trump has become a panicky reaction in search of a strategy. In Wisconsin, Never Trump means How About Cruz? as self-interested leaders like Gov. Scott Walker try to sell Republicans on a dangerously reactionary senator as an improvement over a dangerously ignorant businessman. But for the states and the nations moderate conservatives, Never Trump should more logically mean Maybe Kasich.
The framework that Mitt Romney sketched for a Never Trump movement on March 3 rested on an analysis of delegate allocation rules in the remaining primary states....

By not voting for Trump because he is not a Conservative, I presume that you have not voted since President Reagan. Can’t say that I blame you, especially 2008 and 2012.
Face it, any Conservative that might be nominated will get the full “Sarah Palin” treatment - both inside and outside the party. The GOPe have shown their hatred of all things Conservative time and time again. Why do we keep supporting them?
I agree with you that Trump is not a Conservative (and I support him). Why, because he is the only candidate that speaks to our concerns. Illegal immigration MUST be stopped. Taxes MUST be cut. We MUST have a level playing field in trade.
Will Trump accomplish EVERYTHING he wants to do? Probably not, with a hostile Congress. But if he can halt illegal immigration, I’ll be satisfied.
Funny how when polls show positive news for ones candidate theyre treated as if theyre gospel, and when they show the opposite theyre meaningless at best and corrupt at worst.
Yup.
I believe that, at this point, the only one out of the three that can beat Hillary is Kascich.
Both Cruz and Trump are too damaged at this point.
This is not an endorsement. Just facts. and that polling proves it
Every poor Cruz article regardless of it being in a rag like the NY Times gets posted.
Every poor Cruz article regardless of it being in a rag like the NY Times gets posted.
That was already baked in the cake, as it were. The Cruz supporters contend(ed) that the man from Canada should get the nomination instead of Trump because he can win and outpolls Trump with respect to Clinton and women in general. I just applied that logic and proved that Kasich should get the nomination instead of Cruz. Will the Cruz supporters now admit Trump is a valid contender for the nomination and that polls are not a valid argument for selecting the nominee ?
We can all agree on that ...

It’s the NYT editorial board promoting K-Sick, the present day wannabe Mr. Rogers of the kids’ program on PBS.
The NYT item must have been an April Fools thing.

Can a woman also fertilize a woman’s egg to create a human?
Clinton voted on all the same things George W Bush did. No difference in the uniparty.

Remember that the last 6 years Clinton was in office, both House and Senate were ruled by the Republicans led by Speaker Gingrich. .....It’s total Bull Crap for Kasich to keep spouting that HE is the person who brought about a balanced budget when it was the Republican Congress that could override a Clinton veto. ....Kasich is nothing.
The guy's one of Soros' faggy hand puppets.
I have been voting for Conservatives down ticket the last few times and that's what I will do in November.
I guess basically I'm one of those holier than thou azzes who put principle over expediency that seem so out of fashion here lately ;)
