Those of us old enough to remember the 50’s and 60’s were so blessed, but it is bittersweet that it is only a memory.
I wonder how many of these “KIDS” on here could live without any of these electronics for one month?
Hell, we never had a TV till I was a tad bit older, and then we only got two channels if we were lucky.
It was baseball in the summer, swimming, fishing and whatever, football in the fall and hunting, and winter it was basketball, ice shinty-since most of us didnt have skates, and sledding as well as ice fishing.
That and CHORES.
Yeah, those 50's and 60's were good times. The "bittersweet" description works, too.
Then, I start to think about what my grandkids (and the soon-to-arrive GREAT grandkid) have facing them.....
...things don't start to get right for my little pretties pretty damn soon and somebody is going to think it just clouded up and started to rain sh**.
