**Longmeadow Alert** NO on Articles 27, 28, 29!

A few updates on the alert regarding the three articles to be voted on at town meeting on May 10th. • GOAL Members in Longmeadow have organized and set up a website - please follow it and share! http://www.longforliberty.org/ • The Articles are now numbered 27, 28, 29. • GOAL has confirmed that Select Board Member Alex Grant is the proponent of the three articles. Alex is a federal prosecutor and submitted the articles via citizens petition. • A Life Member of GOAL and Longmeadow resident, Walt Lamon has volunteered to lead the effort to stop the unconstitutional articles. If you are a Longmeadow resident who would like to be involved, please contact Walt via email. Here is the GOAL Alert:

GOAL has learned that Longmeadow Massachusetts will be voting at town meeting on May 10th and could vote in some drastic anti-Second Amendment measures. Please see the text of Article’s 26, 27, 28 from the 2016 town meeting warrant (see below). This was sent to us by a member. These articles are an outright assault on your Second Amendment rights. Article 26 would ban lawful carry of firearms on all town property including sidewalks. Article 27 would require gun registration upon renewal of license. Article 28 would ban many commonly owned firearms and magazines Please know that the warrant is yet to be finalized. Town Meeting begins May 10, click here for more information. If you live in Longmeadow please plan on attending town meeting and voting NO on all three articles! Click here for more information.

***Ipswich Alert*** NEW!

GOAL has learned that there is a hunting/discharge ban on the town warrant for the May 10th Annual Town Meeting. The proponent of the article wants to ban the safe and lawful discharge of firearms on private property. See Article 27 on page 38. (note it's mistakenly marked as Article 25)

Town Meeting is May 10, if you are an Ipswich resident please attend and vote NO.

***Westport Alert*** NEW!

GOAL has learned that there is a citizens petition on the town meeting warrant, see Article 28, (page 10).

This is yet another citizens petition filed with the intent of restricting freedom. If you live in Westport, please plan on attending town meeting May 3rd and voting this nonsense down.

**Lexington Alert** The town of Lexington will vote on Article 34 at town meeting beginning on April 6, 2016. The article, (as of today) is to be submitted to town meeting as a non-binding resolution, it is no longer a ban. While this is good news we need to point out that the basic premise of Article 34 is an insult to all law abiding gun owners. His logic is also flawed in that he insinuates that a gun is inherently "dangerous". A firearm is an inanimate object incapable of doing anything on its own. The only thing that has the potential for being dangerous is the person and there is nothing in any of the versions of Article 34 which addresses this. It's just more bigotry, harassment and blame of lawful gun owners. For this reason GOAL will ask that our members and the residents of Lexington continue to oppose Article 34. To stop this article from becoming law, it must be voted down by Lexington's town meeting members at the Annual Town Meeting. The annual town meeting is scheduled for March 21, 2016 at 7:30 PM in the Carey Memorial Building, 1605 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, MA 02420. Take Action!

Lexington residents need to contact their town meeting members and urge them to vote NO on Article 34. Click here to see a precinct map for Lexington. Click here for a listing of town meeting members. Plan on attending town meeting April 6, 2016 and speaking out against this attack on our Second Amendment. Click here for more information

Important Info From LexForLiberty.org

Important Information on April 6 Town Meeting

To all those who are planning to use their 1st Amendment Rights to protect their Second, please be aware of the following: At the Town Meeting on April 6. 1) The Chief of Police has asked for no concealed or open carry, regardless of license, and will not admit anyone who is. They will use metal detectors and bag checks. Please avoid incident and respect the Chiefs’ authority, even if you disagree with it. 2) People should dress as you would for a traditional business meeting. Range attire and/or clothing with political/firearm themed messages will not help articulate the arguments against the Resolution. 3) If you speak, don’t use accusatory or intimidating language. Stick to the facts. You will have a better chance of speaking if you “pre-register” with Moderator Brown before the meeting, who will call on you (see below). 4) Clapping and cheering and otherwise being overly vocal will work against the effort, whereas calm, quiet presence, acknowledged by those who speak, will be much more effective than loud obnoxiousness. Our main focus is defeating Article 34 at the Town Meeting on April 6. However, mark your calendars and stay tuned for details of a “Protest Town Meeting Passage of Article 34” rally planned for Apr. 9 should that be necessary. Read more

**West Boylston Alert **

The discussion will continue at Zoning Board Hearing April 21.

The citizens group who are working to suppress freedom in W. Boylston via forcing Wayne's Weaponry to cease lawful discharge of firearms on his property will have to wait until the next hearing, scheduled for April 21st.

At last nights hearing it was decided that the lawful discharge will be strictly limited to certain times/days.

Hopefully this will be reversed at the next hearing to that people can get back to enjoying exercising their Second Amendment freedom.

If you are a W. Boylston resident, please plan on attending the next hearing in support of Wayne at the West Boylston Town Offices, 140 Worcester Street, West Boylston, MA.

Also, there is a fundraiser for Wayne at the Kasbar in Worcester, 234 Southwest Cutoff Rd, April 10th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM $10.00 at the door. Stop by, have dinner, get a raffle ticket and help Wayne offset his legal fees.

But wait! There is more!

When someone is arrested with a gun they will start whining and bitching that someone in a free state brought the gun to their perfect Eden.

They can write ordinances on paper but they’ll never be able to deny American citizens’ inaliable rights, including those specifically enumerated in the Bill of Rights. (About all they can “accomplish” is provoke some unnecessary bloodshed — pray they wise up and find something lawful and beneficial to occupy themselves with, instead).

Someone(s) needs to sue these little towns such that emergency property and income tax levies need to be passed on all the residents to cover the losses.

Just a week or so ago SCOTUS b*tchslapped (in a 9-0 vote) the Massachusetts Supreme Court for deliberately defying McDonald vs Chicago *and* District of Columbia vs Heller.I'm no lawyer but even *I* could tell that SCOTUS was p*ssed with the court.

Yep,and, as a Longmeadow resident who’s watched his car insurance rates skyrocket over the last few years along with this stupid Gun Ban coming up for debate is THOROUGHLY fed up. Know why insurance is high here now? The wealthy libs in this town evidently don’t know how to lock their car doors. Soooo....ALL of us here pay inflated insurance rates (your insurance is based on # of claims filed in your zip code) because some jackass doesn’t understand how to operate the key fob on their Bentley....smh.
And, as far as I’m concerned with this gun ban, I’m going to exercise my right to move to a State where I won’t be harassed for being a gun owner.
