Donald J. Trump, who in recent days has mocked a political opponents wife, defended a campaign aide arrested on a charge of battery and suggested punishing women who terminate pregnancies, may have surrendered any remaining chance to rally Republicans strongly around him before the partys July convention in Cleveland.

Eff the GOP!
I really wish the national party would stay out of primaries. They have no place there.
The GOPe poisoned their own food. Now they got to eat it or go hungry.
“Eff the GOP!”
Yes! What you said! :)
Gee, how many times have the media written Trump will implode articles. How many times have they written that Trump has peaked and is finished.
The GOPe fears the party nominee will be someone who it can’t control (i.e., Trump, possibly Cruz).
The GOPe has done everything they can to damage Trump and now they are saying it is now necessary to kill him off. I hate them soo badly. I hate them more than I do the Demonrats. If they try this the party is dead.
“The GOPe fears the party nominee will be someone who it cant control (i.e., Trump, possibly Cruz).”
That would be the answer.
As far as punishing women who have an abortion; this arose from a media that wanted that to be his position. Mr Trump’s position is that IF abortion were to be made illegal, the person who performed an abortion would be punished. The woman would NOT be punished (excepting than which might flow from our Lord.

Completely agree.
Good description!
If the candidates cannot get their acts together, it falls to their supporters to save them from themselves.
If the GOPe screws both of them over, and all of us, and everyone who voted for Trump and Cruz, I would openly advocate for the two of them to form a ticket, with Trump in the top spot and Cruz as VP, since Trump has the most support, and make a third party run.
I think if we could all quit the general dumb-assery we have all displayed here and unite against the true enemy, the GOPe, there would be enough votes to win the general.
Every day is April fool’s with the New York Times.
Well, if the GOP is insistent on committing suicide, all I can say is, “JUMP, JUMP, JUMP”.
I agree. They have consumed every ounce of my contempt. I don’t even have enough remaining for the left at this time.
