As we say in the South -- it's time for a "Come to Jesus Moment."
The 2016 Republican presidential race has been one of the most rancorous in recent history. The behavior of the candidates and their followers has been downright repulsive.
There are no clean hands among this bunch. Instead of focusing squarely on the issues at hand -- they have chosen to engage in ugly personal attacks.
I'm especially disappointed in the behavior of those devout followers of both Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.
For what it’s worth many good-hearted conservatives have been caught in the crossfire between the warring factions.
They have filled our Facebook pages and Twitter feeds with filthy messages. Reasoned and thoughtful conversation has been replaced with hateful rhetoric and insults.
If you praise Trump, the Cruz people attack. If you praise Cruz, the Trump people attack. If you criticize Trump, you’re accused of being a left wing liberal. If you criticize Cruz, you’re accused of being an establishment Republican.

Thanks to FAUX News, we’re rapidly going from name-calling to bloody fists. FAUX is about to get its neckties passed thru the wringer.
I used to watch almost every program on Fox. Hell. I even taped the 5. The start of Fox’s downfall was when the Five got rid of Bob Beckel. He is a nut, but he really believed every stupid thing he said. Got to respect that. They replaced him with Juan Williams, an indignant black guy who would climb a tree to tell a lie. He is Foxs’ professional liar. So, I don’t watch the Five anymore. I never could stomach O’Reilly. He is a pompous ass that isn’t near as smart as he thinks. Don’t watch his show. Then they brought in Megyn Kelly who gives a bad name to all the attractive women of the world. I can’t stand her. Don’t watch that anymore. Fox News Sunday has George Will, Brit Hume, Karl Rove, Krauthamer, Steve Hayes and Chris Wallace. A weekly gathering of some of the most aggressively stupid people you can find. Don’t watch that anymore.
So, I’ve switched to Fox Business Channel in the morning. The only Fox channel left that doesn’t insult your intelligence.
Fox is a study in how to self-destruct with stupidity. So, when they run Rove out with his BS, I just consider the source.
