CONFIRMED: Cruz Camp Stealing Trump Delegates from States Trump Won (VIDEO)

Townhall reporter Guy Benson today admitted the Cruz campaign is stealing Trump delegates in states that Trump won.

The Ted Cruz campaign is running Cruz supporters as Trump delegates in states that Trump won. That way they can steal the nomination from Trump in Cleveland although they’ve only won a fraction of the states Trump has won.

Guy Benson: This has been percolating for several months. He has a very sharp legal team that know the rules inside and out in a way the Trump campaign clearly does not. It’s not just Louisiana. And it’s not just finagling to just get Rubio delegates or unbound delegates. What they’re also doing is getting people elected as Trump delegates who are not, in fact, Trump loyalists. So they would be bound to Donald Trump on the first ballot only. After which, although they are technically Trump delegates, they’ve been sort of put in place to jump.

And these are the same people who call Trump supporters ‘morons’ one day and beg them to support Ted Cruz the next.

You’re welcome. It helps to understand that primaries/caucuses are something that the parties choose to run. They are not obliged to hold a primary.

They do it because they do value how the voters decide (and want voters in the general). But if the voters do not decide, there have to be ways.

It’s ultimately up to the party to decide its nominee.

If that is who the voters have chosen then that is the nominee or your party loses.

Maybe your party. Not mine. My party will have rational ways to select its nominee.

Good luck!

You try and nominate the loser and you are going to be the one that needs luck.

Good point.

I think some may find this helpful: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Majority_rule

Note the section that discusses the difference between the “majority” and merely a “plurality”.

Irish Brigade (and others) should note that I erred when describing a “plurality” as 50%+1. That is a majority. I apologize for that error.

Again, see the Wiki article it’s pretty straightforward and not really controversial (at least as far as the mathematics goes) so most likely reliable.

Also this is helpful: http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P16/R-Alloc.phtml

One will note from the table of total delegates that the total number thereof is 2,472. Thus, 1237/2472=0.5000 or 50%.

(Actually, technically speaking I would say one could argue one would need 1238 delegates (50%+1), but that may be quibbling there. It’s unlikely anyone will get exactly 1237 anyway).

....”Townhall reporter Guy Benson admitted the Cruz campaign is stealing Trump delegates in states that Trump won”....

Well nobody is putting a gun to their heads to switch.....has nothing to do with “stealing”...it is the game plays as always... to convince delegates to change.

Why wouldn’t the votes of a majority of the members show what their real positions are?

A majority would. Nobody has a majority.

Am I speaking English?

They’re all losers if no one has won. To win you need a majority of the delegates.

Do you not understand this basic fact?

The GOPe will get what they want > Hillary. Cruz has zero chance of becoming president.

This is a very sad time for our republic.

Yeah, he was another upstart wasn’t he?
Probably would face the same opposition as trump today
What could a b list movie actor and one term Governor of California know about facing down Russia, dealing with nuclear disarmament, rebuilding the economy after the Carter recession, and making enemies by calling people an “ Evil Empire”

...”it’s all legitimately within the rules, it’s not stealing”....

Trump supporters know full well that Trump didn’t understand the “ground game”....he didn’t have much if any to begin with...and that includes the need to obtain delegates...which he didn’t wrap his around around and still calls it ‘Unfair’.

So he wants to change the rules and have it played his way.

You need to understand this fact. If you steal the nomination from the frontrunner you lose.

The one rule still stands. The guy with the most votes is the nominee or your party loses.

The guy with the MAJORITY of votes - not just "the most" votes.

If you aren’t the winner, then the nomination isn’t yours to be stolen.

Basic fact. Stop whining. Start winning. Winning and dealing are your guy’s two big things, right?

He needs to start doing it.
