Trump is not alone. It has been obvious to any thinking person that the woman is the one who decides to have her baby killed.

Well, good for you. You obviously did not understand my post and so if Trump handles this poorly, he will never be president. Sometimes, you have to suppress an issue or two for the greater good, but you don't get that.

Here is your choice: Trump advocates punishing the mother and loses the election, or option 2, he evades the issue in any further interview and says he made a mistake and has a good chance of winning. You choose.

Trump spoke the truth in a nation of lies, even if the truth lasted for only one day before it was drowned out by the shouts of those who do not want to see.

Speaking the truth in a nation of lies is how he arrived, and it may well be how he goes out, but I, for one, am happy that he did it.

We can’t face what we have done, and we can’t change what we will do if we cannot be honest with ourselves.

We are taking lives, and we lie to ourselves to make it okay.

At our heart is a malignant cancer. How long will we let it grow?

We don’t have forever.

Interesting post considering Trump loved abortion his entire life until a few years ago when he was getting ready to run as a republican. Trump wasn't promoting a profile in courage with his answer. He just did not know any better. Trump speaks such few truths that when he does it is startling. In fact, Trump lies all the time. My gosh, look at the lies he said in trying to protect his campaign manager against the female reporter. All she wanted was an apology and Trump is too in love with himself to make his campaign manager apologize.

Trump has neither honor nor an honest bone in his body. He lies like Clinton lies and will continue to do so in the White House.

You seem like a nice fellow, but you are incredibly gullible...so sad.

So, you are in favor of the ‘protected class’ concept because it’s politically expedient. The ‘equal application of law’ is not desirable as encompassing policy because one might be ‘publicly trashed’. I’m inclined to call you out as a coward. My only hope is that you have nothing to do with the law in terms of upholding and enforcing, from a street cop to ANY court officer position or any position of public policy decision making. Trump was correct with his first answer, wrong as hell with the pandering later. But by all means you continue to insult the voters who are supporting the leading candidate at the moment, as ‘flawed’ as he is.....because you obviously are knowledgeable in the ways of influencing people.

All I can do is ask His Forgiveness.

That is the worst thing I have ever done in this world.

It is possible that you are right when you say he didn’t know any better.

But I don’t know. I don’t see Trump the same way that you do.

A lot of people say that Cruz supporters are being fooled by Cruz in a similar manner to what you suggest that Trump is doing to his supporters.

It’s difficult to tell when someone is lying to you, especially when you want to believe that someone is not lying to you.

But what is much easier to tell is when we are lying to ourselves.

And we are clearly lying to ourselves as a nation about the practice of abortion in this country.

The answer to this problem lies in ourselves. If we cannot lead ourselves by way of the truth, then we will always be lost in lies.

If a mother deliberately kills a one-day old baby, should she be charged with premeditated murder, and punished for that action?

(Here are some 1-day old babies, looking much like they did a couple days before these photos were taken, before they were born.)

As another poster pointed out in a different thread, does all punishment have to come from the government, or do mothers who abort their child suffer self-inflicted punishment by their own physical and psychological damage, and the burden of guilt and shame they bring upon themselves through their abortion (analogous to attempted "suicides")?

Trump is NOT a practiced politician. And it shows.
But he is a seasoned businessman, a doer and not a talker, and most of all people who know him like him. That is opposite of Ted Rafael Cruz.

If someone kicks a pregnant woman in the tummy to kill the baby, is that not murder? If I get no answer to that question, I will assume there has been a connection made to the murder of an unborn baby with a medical procedure and the murder of an unborn baby with a foot. Oh, and don’t tell me that a medical procedure is much more genteel than a foot. My foot that it is!

You are way off the trail my FRiend. Let’s get to the heart of the matter. Is killing an unborn baby murder? If yes, we have no dispute. If no, tell me why not.

I have an idea. Let's ask Hillary if she has had an abortion. Here is a simple way to ask the question, for those who cannot think of a way or lack the intellect to ask it:

Hillary, have you had an abortion?

There. Simple wasn't it?

"If a woman takes a morning-after pill, should she be indicted?"

A person who tried to indict a woman for using the morning-after pill would be laughed out of court. For someone asking that question shows complete ignorance of today's medical science.

The morning-after pill, also called emergency contraception, is a method for preventing the sperm from meeting with the ovum (egg). It works for five days after unprotected sex. Another method of emergency contraception is the use of an IUD, which prevents the implantation of the fertilized ovum into the lining of the uterus. The use of the IUD, by the way, is common method of birth control.

Another way to prevent the sperm from meeting the ovum is a spermicide which kills the sperm.

Another way is the use of a birth control pill with prevents the ovum from being released from the ovaries. If there is no ovum to meet with the sperm, there is no pregnancy.

One very will known method for preventing the sperm from meeting the ovum is the condom. Condoms have an additional advantage of preventing sexually transmitted diseases such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, HIV and syphilis. The condom not only separates the sperm from the ovum but it also separates the human from the disease. Of course, an ignorant Person would say that the use of a condom was the same as having an abortion.

We need Trump’s ability to stand up for our country, to bully for our country and use the bully pulpit for giving out the good word. Not a pussy! Get it. Love it. Now, go to work giving out the good word for Trump.

will those who now say it is a state matter, cease protesting abortion in states that enable it?

Yes because saying it is a State issue is a dodge of the question. Chris Matthews question was designed to be excepted in order to use only the part of the run on sentence that had Trump saying women who had abortions should be punished. These people are evil to the core. The ones who glom on to these half truth points and tout them a a revelation are just as evil. Levin and Beck with a little Rush thrown in, have all become totally stupid to the point they all see a violent attack on that bimbo in those videos.

One wag said there had been more work devoted to these videos than the Zapruder film.

It was a hypothetical question and Trump answered it fine,

Only if the complete question was included. That question was designed to be clipped and only the last half of the question will be replayed when quoting Trump's answer.

The Matthews hypothetical question is just more blown up BS. Anyone with half a wit sees through all this crap and it just makes me and others I discuss this with more disgusted with the media and more supportive of Trump.

I have a solution to that.....if a woman gets pregnant and wants support from the government, she can get it with the first child. If she has another that she wants support for, she doesn’t get one thin dime until she gets a tubal ligation. That way the woman still has her ‘right to chose’ and they aren’t allowed to keep having baby after baby as a means of taxpayer support and never getting a job forever. If a ‘baby daddy’ won’t support his kids he can get a vasectomy or go to jail until he does or starts supporting his kid(s). Planned Parenthood can start using their facilities for tubal legations and vasectomies. What this country has been allowing to happen is insane and detrimental to our society all the way around.

Exactly - he "stepped into a trap" but his answer was spot on as a rule of law, which is how he responded to it.

Cruz, on the other hand opted to ignore his "brilliance as a proponent of Law and the Constitution" because he saw a potential crack to leverage - funny how his supporters opt to ignore yet another time he has abandoned his "hard core constitutionalism" because it might prove convenient to his losing campaign.
