If, since 9/11, you've begun to think that all American politicians are corrupt, that our national anger was deliberately misdirected to places where it could be expended with absolutely no result, and that our military has been exhausted in a series of pointless, unwinnable wars against third-rate Islamic nations... you're absolutely correct. Everywhere you look, from George W. Bush holding hands with various members of the Saudi "royal" family on down, the real enemy of civilization wraps its tentacles more tightly around us. Case in point: the sham GOP candidate, widely despised former Naval officer and second-most-loathed man in the U.S. Senate, the ineffable John McCain:
A nonprofit with ties to Senator John McCain received a $1 million donation from the government of Saudi Arabia in 2014, according to documents filed with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
The Arizona Republican has strictly honorary roles with the McCain Institute for International Leadership, a program at Arizona State University, and its fundraising arm, the McCain Institute Foundation, according to his office. But McCain has appeared at fundraising events for the institute and his Senate campaigns fundraiser is listed in its tax returns as the contact person for the foundation.
Though federal law strictly bans foreign contributions to electoral campaigns, the restriction doesnt apply to nonprofits engaged in policy, even those connected to a sitting lawmaker.
Groups critical of the current ethics laws say that McCains nonprofit effectively gives Saudi Arabia -- or any other well-heeled interests -- a means of making large donations to politicians it hopes to influence. Foreign governments are prohibited from financing candidate campaigns and political parties, Craig Holman, the government affairs lobbyist for ethics watchdog Public Citizen, said. Funding the lawmakers nonprofit organizations is the next best thing.
Just leave that suitcase full of cash right over there in the corner, Achmed, while I finish this speech on the importance of a strong national defense. And say hello to the Clintons:
Holman said that the Clinton Foundation, whose top donors include Australia, Norway, Saudi Arabia and Sweden, may have started the trend of foreign governments donating to nonprofits connected to political figures.
Founded in 1998 to raise money for then-President Bill Clintons presidential library, the Clinton Foundation accepted millions of dollars from foreign governments over the years, including while Hillary Clinton, now running for president, served as secretary of State during President Barack Obamas first term. The foundation says that Clinton was not involved in its work when she worked for the Obama administration.
The Saudi donation to the McCain Institute Foundation may be the first congressional instance of that trend coming to light...
The institute didnt originally disclose the 2014 donation from the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia. After an inquiry from Bloomberg News, the website was updated to note that the institute received more than $100,000 from the Saudi embassy. Documents filed with the IRS state that the donation totaled $1 million.
This is actually a huge story about the corruption of our republic, but almost no one will pay attention to it -- did you just hear what Trump said about abortion?! We used to be better than this, but "that's not who we are" any more. So we get the government the Saudis and other enemies pay for.
The best thing that can happen for these guys is to be owned by both the Chinese and the Saudis. Its like a home run.
Now, if you aren’t owned by either, and you are on your way up, expect a scandal or investigation to be coming your way.
Absolutely correct They find enviros and our politicians —,the activists and those directing Our governmental responses to same. The American people are the only ones left out of this unholy cabal and the “deals” it makes with itself ( as well as the carefully designed and staged court suits resulting in various anti- energy - independence rulings and “consent decrees” that cripple our energy and economic independence.
The Saudis are paying plenty to US politicians and others to keep their role in 9/11 secret. Its why I lost all respect for the Bush family.
My hope is between the wealth they are having to spend due to low oil prices, their war in Yemen, and Iran up their azz, the House of Saud will fall.
When I see Bush with the Saudi KING and understanding the absolute PROVEN FACT THAT THE (15 plane hijackers were all Saudi , Sunni WAHHABIS and Osama Bin Laden was in the Saudi Royal family and totally supported by the Saudi Royal family, WHY DID WE INVADE IRAQ? Any one else have that question answered?
When you get a cogent answer, please ping me.
I agree. It clearly shows A US President bent/bowed kissing the hand of the Saudi. That is treason showing allegiance to another nation and/or way of life.
I had that question in the beginning but even here in FR, I was steered away from thinking Saud and thinking Iraq and like good little goebbelites ... I bought into it
I sure will. I’m just sitting here watching my pings.
I’m glad you brought it up. SA has enjoyed a privileged place. What is the quid pro quo?
what happened to us that this A@@ kissing f....t muslim lover could get elected? twice?
what are we fighting for if he got elected TWICE?
He has done incalculable damage.
sigh..
That is ok . millions of people were persuaded that Iraq was the retaliatory target. There are 28 pages redacted in the 911 commission report dealing with Saudi envelopment in the terrorist attack. Saudis were flown out of our country by the government after 911. Why?
If Trump survives the trip to the WH, hopefully he can set their plans back a generation of two.
ALL OF THEM.
Yeah, I don’t like that one either.
I’ve been saying for more than a decade that Bush set us back 25 years in properly addressing Islam with his “peaceful, friendly religion” horse crap.
That's what I think through what I am observing. We're being played for suckers.
It's much worse than that.
The Saudis also own 14,000 acres in AZ to grow grass for their milk cows in Saudi Arabia. Plus how much more land have they purchased?
We have the worst government that muslim money can buy.
You mean beside having Huma Abedin Chief of Staff in the Sec. of State’s office, 20 million dollars to Harvard when Percy Sutton negotiated Obama’s admission to Harvard Law, d similar donations to major Universities, tens of millions to the Clinton Library, Obama’s patron was Saudi Prince AL Waleed bin Talal through Saudi family legal council lawyer Khalid al Mansour/Don Warden, who also managed funding of more than 80% of U.S. Mosques, managed Imams in federal prisons, founded the Black Panthers. The Saudi’s are major stock holders in News Corp (Fox News, WSJ,...), Goldman Sachs, Citibank, which were bailed out in 2008, and a long list of global businesses.
On the other hand, if you had an impotent military, a mortal enemy with nuclear weapons, planning to create Armageddon to inspire an Imam to climb out of a well where he has been fir 1499 tears, and you happened into lots of money, would you buy protection using the corrupt masters who have complete control through tax authority of a productive society? You might employ native-born Wahhabi’s to borrow into America’s Department of Homeland Security, oru CIA, military services, industries, and spend whatever it takes to convert the most important assets you can, like now CIA Director, John Brennan, who has been protecting Obama since he was a Senator, and probably before.
Making infidels dependent upon your one natural resource is one of few options. And, look at Europe. It works. Sweden is practically a Sharia-governed society. France has more than twenty five percent of its youths with allegiance to Islam - Sharia. Its about survival. Our politicians spend their lives producing nothing but peddling control over our productivity. Term limits might help, but the bought politicians control all three branches of our government.
