Here's my statement regarding the charges against Corey Lewandowski by the Jupiter Police Department:
Some media outlets have reported that this office has brought charges against Corey Lewandowski, campaign manager for Donald Trump. These reports are false. Our office has taken no action against Mr. Lewandowski. The matter was investigated and charged by the Jupiter Police Department, not this office. We will await the file from the Jupiter Police Department and make a decision on how to proceed in this matter before Mr. Lewandowski's May 4th arraignment.
Law enforcement charges on a probable cause standard.
The State has to proceed on a legally higher standard of proof, which is beyond a reasonable doubt as well as whether there is a reasonable likelihood of a conviction. At this point, our office has not received the case.
This has been posted several times at Free Republic, but what I saw/read, wasn’t sourced.
Write the whole story mainstream press- not just half of it- comprende?
It’s how the process works. The police file charges and the prosecutor determines if they can prove it. How is this new?
If Lewandowski had done this to a man nobody would have said a word.

If it’s a misdemeanor as previously reported, it’s most likely similar to a traffic summons. A date to show up in court is set by the city then the lawyers take it from there.

The US Dept of Justice could file charges against Michele Fields for threatening a presidential candidate. They went towards her when they saw she had something in her hand, that could have been a weapon. It turned out to be a pen, which she could have very easily stabbed Trump with. If not for the heroic actions of Corey Lowandowski, Fields could be facing murder one charges. Who in the hell knows what was in this lunatic’s mind.
