It’s common across the internets.
Here is one plea from Ace of Spades
http://ace.mu.nu/archives/362367.php#362367
Let’s try to keep everything in perspective though, ok?
If you disagree with the reasoning of someone else, please try to do so rationally and without ridicule, or appeals that “no vote for x is a vote for y”. That is not an argument, but instead is basically a direct insult that the abstainer’s bedrock principles are without value.
You lose absolutely nothing from your argument to refer to the opposing candidate by his or her actual name rather than some silly 6th grade pejorative play on their name. Doing otherwise shuts many ears. Referring to supporters of that candidate in similarly pejorative ways is even worse. We are all individuals, with life experiences and distilled values that inform our opinions. Disrespecting anyone else in response to their stated opinion by calling them a silly name, no matter how clever, is a slur on the very being of that person.
If you reach an impasse, just drop it. Agree to disagree, and move on.
Understand that anger loosens many a tongue from normally firm mooring, and try to forget who started what and who called whom whatever.
It’s a new week. You can choose the default state of biting sarcasm, outright insults and encouraging anger with everyone opposed to your opinion; or you can choose to be more respectful, and while disappointed with your adversary on this topic, maintain a civility that is ennobling to all parties in itself.
I apologize for every time I have failed, and I do promise that I’m going to endeavor mightily to encourage some respectful dialogue at least from my end.
I’m going to try to be better.

“I also offer this promise to everyone. Should Trump win the nomination, I promise to fight as hard, and as passionate, for him to become POTUS as I will for Cruz.”
I’ve already been told on numerous occasions by Trump supporters that I won’t be needed in the general election because of the crossover vote.
So if Trump wins the nomination, I promise I will stay home in November.
Problem is a lot of the worst ones showed up/activated after Cruz called the Establishment for help. So many are not regular Freepers but likely paid activists from other campaigns.
And like the Israeli - Palestine conflict. The only one who can stop this is the Cruz camp that is nothing more then “Trump is a Poopyhead” attack mode lately.
This is the #noTrump people causing the problems.
Q: Where did George Washington keep his armies?
A: In his sleevies!
RE: Hate, malicious lies spread to injure, and destruction of ones character just to make a stupid point.
I agree with the above... the only question would be how to differentiate between “malicious lies” and “truth”....
What criteria do we use when we read the news?
Should for instance, news that Michele Fields accuses Trump’s campaign manager of injuring her be considered lies?
Should news reporting Trump calling Ted Cruz, “Lyin’ Ted” be considered lies?
indeed.
Your momma so fat that the doctor told her she had a flesh eating virus and she only had 20 years to live.
If either Cruz or Trump wins, I will not feel the need to buy a survival seed canister that evening nor buy a pound of bacon the next day.
LOL!
Dream on, Steven.
Anybody know any good jokes?

A Senator from Texas, a Governor from Ohio, and a real-estate developer from New York walk into a bar...
The bartender says, “Hey, we don’t serve your kind in here!
And then...
damn, I always forget the punch line...
I (completely) disagree with you on that statement.
Trump is far and away, the strongest Republican to run since Reagan.
He is lightyears ahead of everyone else.
And he is very, very wealthy. That means a lot of things.
It means he’s not for sale. It also means, he has very, very, very deep pockets.
And he’s also, not at all afraid to stand up and push back.
It has been an entire generation, since any Republican or anyone anywhere has had that skill, and that bravery.
Trump is the ideal candidate.
Very very strong.
Well that lasted 10 posts. I’m not sure a truce in needed, but a moratorium on posting the same picture more than a half dozen times a day would be nice. Some of us are here to read the news and views on the news; not see the scroll past the same silly pictures all day. This isn’t Instatwitterfacegram.
I like. In a comment I did say pretty mush the same thing, but you got the gist
I was so ugly when I was born the doctor slapped my mama.
That would work too.
Bisexual.
“Irony?”
Given Kennedy’s family history, it’s just tiresome.
Visit not the sins of the father upon the sons.
