He’ll do anything to make conservatives look bad.

“Lying is a sin... how should be punish those folks?”

“Holding false witness... having pride... all sins.”

Jail time? 50 lashes?

This story is false. The person who put this story out - knowing it's a lie, has committed a sin and should be punished. What penalty should they receive aquila?

Breaking the law carries penalties. What an unusual concept.

Yeah. No kidding'.

Context:

The comment, which is sure to rile abortion-rights supporters, came during a week where Trump is fighting to defend himself on women’s issues on multiple fronts ahead of a key primary in Wisconsin.

At a taping of an MSNBC town hall to be aired later, host Chris Matthews pressed Trump on his anti-abortion position, repeatedly asking him whether abortion should be punished if it is outlawed. “This is not something you can dodge.”

“Look, people in certain parts of the Republican Party, conservative Republicans, would say, ‘Yes, it should,’” Trump answered.

“How about you?” Matthews asked.

“I would say it’s a very serious problem and it’s a problem we have to decide on. Are you going to send them to jail?” Trump said.

“I’m asking you,” Matthews said.

“I am pro-life,” Trump said. Asked how a ban would actually work, Trump said, “Well, you go back to a position like they had where they would perhaps go to illegal places but we have to ban it,” Trump said.

Matthews then pressed Trump on whether he believes there should be punishment for abortion if it were illegal

“There has to be some form of punishment,” Trump said. “For the woman?” Matthews asked. “Yeah,” Trump said, nodding.

Trump said the punishment would “have to be determined.”

Trump said the stakes of the general election are high because of the vacancy on the Supreme Court left by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia in February. President Barack Obama has nominated a replacement whom Senate Republicans say they won’t consider because of the impending national vote.

Looks like Trump let himself be badgered by Matthews.

sigh.

Not helpful for Trump or Cruz to take this position.

Focus should be on the clinics and the body parts for sale.

This should not be shocking. Tearing babies apart in the womb is shocking.

OK.. thanks.

So, I wonder what kind of “punishment” he has in mind. It’ll help him in the primary, but not the general election.

Well I guess it is fair to say that Trump has certainly sucked the oxygen out of the news for the next 48hrs. That is a twofer in the 24hr news cycle. Only Trump can do this. Face palm.

Looking back on traditional practice, it was treated as relatively minor infraction on the part of the woman, as the act seemed so illogical as to be imagined more crazy than criminal.

Spot on. And it's, once more, typical of the moral vacuum the man exists in.

His moral framework, such as it is, seems to be based on utilitarianism and pragmatism - which require no moral absolutes.

When the Daily Caller's Jamie Weinstein asked Trump if he would have become pro-life if that child had been a loser instead of a "total superstar," Trump replied: "Probably not, but I've never thought of it.

…the “never thought about it” is just as damning as the aborting of the “loser” child.

I certainly hope the Mrs will counter your pro-choice POV here.

You are pro abortion, right? Your posts attacking Trump for his anti-abortions comments leave us no choice to but to assume that.

Oh, c'mon. Trump will walk this statement back after he threatens to sue himself.

He should. He would win, then he could fire his attorney for working for a complete idiot.

Because Donald Trump is the one saying this.

I can't stand Trump and I don't trust him but kudos to Trump.

Looks like Trump let himself be badgered by Matthews.

I doubt it. This statement is clearly aimed at the large group of people who are not on either side of the abortion debate. Such a statement is meant to push them into the 'pro-choice' camp.

“It’s a back and forth conversation between Trump and Chrissy.”

OK, that must have been some amazing live TV! Sentence fragments stepping over each other and poor Donald getting showered in spittle from a half in the bag moron!
