I just watched Savannah Gutherie and Matt Lauer smilingly take down Trump (they presumed) by reminding Trump that Lewandowski LIED when he initially said that he did not even touch the woman. They had Trump; they were going to nail him to the wall. DOESN’T the video PROVE that Lewandowski lied, Mr Trump? He does touch her. Would you, Mr. Trump, countenance a top aide lying to the American people if you were president?

The video does prove he touched her, but it also proves he did not assault her.

Trump and his lawyer pointed out the obvious, that the incident happened so briefly that Lewandowski would not even remember it.

I’m sure that Lewandowski was initially responding to the assault charge Fields released to the press, and, in keeping with most people’s understanding of an assault, that means he had focused on the victim and intentionally sought her out and beat her down to the floor.

The video shows that it was definitely not an assault, but some form of a “brush”; either a brush off or a brush away. Lewandowski does not even look at the woman; his eyes are on her hands.

I noticed that when I was in a crowd around Reagan once; the SS was looking at arms and hands in the crowd most of the time.

Laurer wondered if an early apology from Lewandowski would have defused the situation, nipped it in the bud. But based upon Fields immediate distortion of the event, an apology from Lewandowski would have only ratified her distortions to the world.

They also interviewed Shapiro afterwards. He came across as a pouty, pissy nerd. There was not a scintilla of objectivity in his whole mental make-up.

I don't think he touched her at all. After looking at the video about 20 times, it looks like he grabbed and got the rather thick jacket she had on. The jacket becomes quite out of sorts at one point.

And if he did touch her...so what...she was too close to Trump...

Just think how fast this could have been avoided by a simple 'Oh sorry, we mistakenly thought you were a fan". It would have been over.

Instead the friend of fields wrote about it, Corey Smeared her, Trump Lied about her.....AND THEN she filed the police report.

AFTER Donnie and Corey publicly smeared her.

So yeah Trump's mouth again gives ammo to the opposition.
