Donald Trump has rescinded his pledge to support the Republican nominee for president.
Asked by moderator Anderson Cooper if he stood by the earlier pledge, Trump said: "No, I don't."
"We'll see who it is," he said during the CNN town hall.
He said he had been treated "unfairly" by the Republican National Committee and the GOP establishment. He said he was unsure whether the Republican establishment was plotting to take the nomination away from him during the convention in Cleveland.
He also said he didn't need Cruz to promise to support him should Trump win the nomination.
"Im not asking for his support," Trump said.
"I don't want his support, I don't need his support, I want him to be comfortable," Trump said, taunting Cruz for dancing around the issue of whether he would support Trump if Trump were the nominee.

Did Cruz not have to take that pledge also since he says he won’t support Trump either?
GOOD
What is your problem?
Go Hillary?
Got a link? As I recall lying Ted has been attacking Mrs Trump for a quite some time now.
The “high road”
LOL who are you kidding?
Hmmm...and there I thought the picture of Melania was and ad for GQ. Guess the Donald is embarrassed seeing his wife nude NOW, but wasn’t embarrassed to see it on the COVER of GQ.
OK, I withdraw my previous statements about voting for Trump if he wins the nomination. What a relief, thanks Mr. Trump.

Another Hillary supporter, out of the closet, give us names of any others still in there.
and Kasich and Cruz have not been exactly nice to Trump either...
“So it is fine with you if the voters choose him and the party chooses someone else? At this point that is the only way he is not the nominee.”
If he doesn’t have 1,237 delegates at the time of the convention then the voters did not choose him. A plurality chose him. After the first ballot, all bets are off.
I agree...it’s all gotten out of control on all sides.
There are now 3 voting blocks Democrats, Republicans & Trump supporters.

The GOPe met in secret with rich DEMOCRATS a few weeks ago in Georgia. Topic on the agenda was “stopping Trump.” It’s far past time for Trump to remind the GOP that this is a two way street. For instance, he is free to endorse 3rd party Senate candidates. I wonder how the GOP would like them apples?
The GOPes and establishment have been conspiring against him for months. No wonder he feels targeted. I would also be upset.
Can’t say that I blame him, after the way he’s been treated. Good luck to the wreckage of the GOP!
Yeah can you imagine endorsing the guy that trashed you, your wife and your family? Not a friggen chance.I cant blame Cruz.
Can you back any of that up? The "wife" and "family" parts?
Ted was asked in the prior hour and wouldn’t commit so why should trump? The party has no intention of keeping its promise. In fact, it’s doing everything it can to stop trump.

Well said. And now we are hearing from some handwringers about how it was better before Trump, it was amicable, candidates were "presidential" and behaved and stuff.
The handwringers would prefer the old way, two choices, good cop and bad cop. That way America could slide into the abyss with dignity!
Stop trolling, you embarrass yourself. You know damn well Trump did not start any of that “wife” stuff. Cruz and his GOPe colors are revealed for all to see; you just don’t want to acknowledge it.
