Sorry, but you need a little first-person usage in a denial.

Like this, without pictures in crayon— “ I have never cheated on Heidi “. And, then you sue whoever said you ever did, knowing they can not prove it.

If you are guilty, you do what Ted is doing and say “they” and “he” a lot, and “Look over there”...

He has not denied, only deflected.

Junior, the cookie jar is empty. Your brother Bobby says you ate all the cookies. Did you?

That’s a lie.

Did you eat the cookies?

Bobby’s lying!

Did.you.eat.the.cookies?

Bobby’s a jerk. He’s a liar.

Reporter. “Have you always been faithful?”
Carley. “This is an example of the media playing to Donald Trump’s tune.”
Cruz. “I am going to give a very brief, brief answer to your question.”

My answer, “Silly question. Of course. Next question?”

It is sad but funny to see Cruz depend on Carley for assistance.

Yes or no, fact or not, simple case, it works when questioning your five-year old if he took an extra cookie.

However, yes or no answers do not work in the world of politics where there is no simple direct answer, no matter how simple or direct that answer may be, that ever satisfies the opponents.

They will take a “no” and run with it, twist it, go back with further accusations, accusations upon accusations, and a simple yes or no will not stop then. . .much like in the courts.

“Harvard Law”?

Not be rude, but that really made me chuckle. Law school, courts, not real life. Law school and courts are where the process is perverted and truth is secondary to “winning.”

If asked that question, wouldn’t all of us, who are and have always been faithful, say as quickly and proudly as possible, “I have always been faithful.”

Guilty.

He couldn’t say Yes or No because he is guilty.

Except, no one is accusing sCruz of kicking the neighbor’s dog OR beating his wife and kids. That’s just fantasy land you’re living in. Having an affair, potentially several, now that, he IS being accused of, and there certainly is a body of proof that would indicate he did.

what....there is not one bit of evidence...none

I do agree that him not answering the question is damning..but ther is no evidence

What Cruz had to say is “I have never had an extra-marital affair”. If that isn’t true, he’s a total hypocrite because of the way he’s wrapped himself in holier-than-thou Christian values. For him, it’s disqualifying.

Does this rumor consume your every waking moment? Good grief. Unless you have an affirmative, such as someone being charged......

“if that isn’t true”......in other words, you don’t know. You are disqualified.

This is your hypothetical future event:

> And if he said “no,” there are many that will not be stopped, that the NE will continue to “report” with “new” accusations, and the cycle continues because his opponents will never find even the simplest answer to be enough.

This is reality:

“That question is garbage. It’s a smear. That story was planted by Trump’s henchmen bla bla bla” (deflection)

vs.

“I have never beaten my wife” (denial)

Charged with what? Adultery is not a crime anymore.

People aren’t as stupid as the republicans think we are. Trump is a master manipulator of the media (not my words, theirs). Why would he put out this info on Good Friday, before Easter weekend when most people are not paying attention. It has all the hallmarks of a Friday “news dump” (ala Obama/Hillary). It does not make sense that Trump did this.

I have to admit, I loved the reporter’s “Do YOU have firsthand knowledge of their marital relationship?” when Carly broke in.

I also liked Cruz's "Who are you with?"

What does THAT have to do with anything???
