Ted Cruz’s campaign on Monday abruptly canceled two New York appearances by his wife so she could rush to Wisconsin to stump with him ahead of that state’s April 5 primary approaches.
The Texas senator was ready to put aside his dislike of “New York values” and stick it to Donald Trump in his own backyard, bringing the GOP battle to the billionaire’s base.
Heidi Cruz, just days after Trump mocked her mental state and appearance, was slated to meet voters at Connect Church in Bellmore, LI, Tuesday and then hit the Brighton Beach Jewish Center, the senator’s site said Monday.
But hours later, Cruz’s reps notified the church that Heidi Cruz was going to reschedule.

I noticed in the local paper that there will be a fund raiser in Newport Beach, California for Ted. Guess who is going to be there with him? That is right, Carly. I guess she is going to run interference for him. The GOPe cannot trust Ted to be by himself.

Harvey Leroy Atwater, or “Lee” as he was known, was an old-school republican political operative who was a master of the dark arts in political obfuscation, and denial.
What we are witnessing in this video, via the denials of Senator Ted Cruz, is straight from the Atwater school of political management.
When infidelities are discovered:
• Hide the spouse • Take her off the trail • Block contact • Delete Social Media • Present female spokesperson as intercepting agent for candidate • Keep interceptor with candidate at all times • Deny • Deny • Deny…. until denial is no longer a plausible option
[[Disagree, in spite of the mean-spirited and mendacious personal attacks thrown Heidi’s way by Trump and his “people,” which, by the way, are increasing his already record negatives making his chances against Clinton even worse than they already are,]]
But donald trump is a ‘brilliant strategist’ - he would never alienate the independent women’s vote by saying vile disgusting things about women, attacking the disabled, calling Iowans ‘stupid’ etc etc etc- knowing that doing so would push these women towards Hillary- reducing his chances of winning the presidency- He’s much much too smart to do that- He’s a ‘master chess player’ as some have indicated- who ‘looks several moves ahead and is steamrolling his opponents with superior foresight’

Just found out why. Trumps campaign manager was going to be at Heidi’s events, and the Cruz campaign was afraid Trump was going to attack Heidi again, this time physically. /s
Cruz suffers from Terminal Obtuseness.

Why should I give her a break? These are unsubstantiated, false charges according to Cruz, right? Cruz says she’s coming to Wisconsin to campaign with him, right? All I asked is where she is....
Hmmmm, I don't recall that Trump said anything about her mental status. He just retweeted a meme of her next to Melania. I think the mental state thing came from a highly redacted police report.
That is my favorite photo from the campaign season so far.
Number 2 is clearly personal and I don’t care about it... if she had a mental breakdown, or something else, who cares.. that’s the kind of garbage that makes me hate politics in general.
Number 3 is just a silly talking point as well, even if Cruz never had any affairs (which I personally highly doubt based on a lot of things), opening a lawsuit just causes the story to drag on and remain in the headlines... so a tactical decision not to sue means nothing to me.
The only question relevant is the first one... the other two are just bottom feeding swill.
Now, personally, just the fact Amanda had no issues calling Cruz “Daddy” in public should be enough to let everyone know that the rumors are far more likely true than not on that front, and that Mrs. Cruz was in the know.
Exactly right. Addressing it any further only serves to keep the issue alive. Let his adversaries do that....no politician should ever be the catalyst of negative rumors of themselves.
