Senator Ted Cruz has been called Lyin Ted Cruz, by his campaign opponents due to the frequency of his telling outright lies. The frequency of falsehood is so excessive Politifact actually did a story about 90 random Cruz assertions which were checked and only 6% of his statements are actually TRUE, only 16% had SOME TRUTH.
Yesterday Senator Cruz appeared on Fox News Sunday (full video here) and was caught in several more lies to add to his abysmal record. ....

And here's Trump in 2002: In 2002, Donald Trump Said He Supported Invading Iraq
How many more Trump lies do you want? Ten? Twenty? Fifty?
You can watch Cruz lying on the video...It doesn't matter who is reporting it...
It saddens me to see so many Democrats posting on Free Republic these days.
Bye-Bye! Have fun hating Trump!
You are the one who put that in there. How was I to know you didn't mean it?
You then write, "he... disavow[ed] any connection with it," which, you, being Mr. Lawyer Apprentice, would understand is different from denouncing the ad itself.
No, just if you are being a prick about it. Cruz said he didn't have anything to do with it, and that the ad was "completely inappropriate." Perhaps if Trump hadn't immediately tweeted a picture comparing his wife to an unflattering picture of Cruz's wife, Cruz may have gone farther and condemned the ad in stronger terms.
At this point I think neither man is interested in being civil to the other.
:)
I'm reminded each time I try to have a discussion with Trump supporters that using critical thinking is cheating.
Nothing taken out of context here. Trump said it. And he meant it.
Please see post #127
Politifact is a liberal organization committed to making conservatives look bad. You should probably be more careful in your zealotry to bash Cruz.
He says the same “let me be clear” “let me be perfectly clear” that Obama does.
Thank you. He wanted the minute mark, which isn’t in the transcript. I didn’t feel like watching the entire video to see when it occurred although I suspect it wouldn’t have mattered.
oh please this is getting old. he meant the mandate for insurers to cover pre-existing conditions.
Do yourself a favor and go to Trump’s website and read his position on healthcare reform.
Predictable. Please see post #78, which you just validated.
Net worth of ten billion.
Forbes magazine says it's closer to two to three billion.
Anyway, it seems that Mr. Trump has never released an audited financial statement. So I think strong skepticism about his claim of ten billion is appropriate.
Why not listen to Trump's own words instead? Can we not trust what Trump says when it comes to health care, trade, property rights, touchback amnesty, and Planned Parenthood? When Trump tells us that the government is going to pay the healthcare costs of the uninsured, is he lying? When he says he will expedite the return of deported illegals back into the US, is he lying? When Trump says he supports 100% the right of government to take private property away from the owner and give it to someone with more influence, is he lying? When Trump says that his policy on trade is identical to Bernie Sanders, is he lying? And when Trump says that we should continue taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood because they do wonderful things, is he lying?
> “And here’s Trump in 2002: In 2002, Donald Trump Said He Supported Invading Iraq”
Yep, that’s a fact, Donald like most of us supported going into Iraq when CIA Director George Tenet said he had rock solid intelligence, intelligence that was proven false, that Iraq had a current WMD operation underway.
And Tenet was fired for his performance and error.
Bush had to pray for a solution when it appeared in General Petraeus who found a way to pit Iraqi Shiites against Iraqi Sunnis and thus achieved a standoff and quasi-truce. But in the aftermath Bush cowered and went liberal following his ultra-liberal wife, knowing he had screwed up bigtime and that his legacy would forever be marred by believing Tenet.
And the yellow cake and sarin gas that was found? It was from the previous operations. There was no current covert program underway to produce WMD.
Was Saddam a bad guy? Yes, absolutely, he was a very nasty guy. But as Trump points out, Saddam killed terrorists and in so doing he factored into stabilizing the region.
Like any reasonable person having learned of the bad intelligence, Donald switched his support to opposition and he did it before most of the rest of the country did because most of us wanted to support Bush and to see payback given to the Middle East. We didn’t care if Saddam was not producing WMD, we wanted Iran surrounded (which it was) and we wanted it taken down.
The problem with our political system is that we cannot endure occupations and lay a long-lasting siege unless we break the spirit of those under occupation such as was done to the Germans and Japanese. We won’t use nukes, even neutron nukes to lay waste to the region and destroy them and their ideology. We can do it militarily, but we can’t do it politically. So we are checked on our own. Unless we declare WWIII, we cannot do what Bush did, and he knows he screwed up.
Trump had all this in sight before most of the rest of us did and he was not afraid to voice it and he continues to voice it. He has the right view and he has our interests at heart.
But here is what Trump said just last month on the debate stage in New Hampshire:
Im the only one up here, when the war of Iraq in Iraq, I was the one that said, Dont go, dont do it, youre going to destabilize the Middle East.
Trump is a pathological liar. How many more do you want me to post? I can do this all day long.
Your lamp went out some time ago.
