Ted Cruz came in second in the recent Louisiana Republican primary behind Donald Trump but could win more delegates -- and the the real estate mogul is crying foul. Trump beat the Texas senator in the March 5 contest by 3.6%. Under party rules the pair each won 18 delegates. But Cruz's campaign is using its organization muscle to sway ten more delegates toward his camp, The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday -- a situation that seems to have caught Trump's ire.

The rules that govern how delegates are divided in primary states are not straight forward. I think it surprises many people ( both democrats and republicans) that winning the popular vote in the primary does not mean you win all or even a majority of that state’s delegates. The rules are confusing but those appear to be the rules. If people are upset with the rules then they should petition to change them. One benefit of a lawsuit on Trump’s behalf might be that the laws regarding the distribution of delegates will be brought into the light for all to see. If Trump was in Cruz’s position don’t you think he’d be doing whatever he could legally to get as many delegates as possible?
I agree. But I have to be careful around here what I say about Trump or I get viciously attacked in many instances.
Is Cruz even going to make it to the convention? His Bimbo Eruption problem might take him down and if found to be true, it should.

These are the delegate rules. You’re starting to sound like Al Gore.
The Republican race is such a lopsided win for Trump that it’s ludicrous to suggest otherwise. In Texas, Cruz won only 44% of his home state/s vote.....not even enough to get all the delegates. Trump won a chunk of Texas delegates.
Team Cruz ferreted out victories in a few caucus states known for oddball and malleable vote counting methods. For example, Cruz won in places that are not conducive to jump-starting his losing campaign, places none cares about:
Virgin Islands by 30 votes
Wyoming by 480 votes
Alaska by 600 votes
Maine by 2,500.

SUMMING UP Cruz bet a bundle on the south, then lost badly. It is doubtful Cruz can bring his (cough) “current winning streak” to the east. Ted won 8 states totaling a measly 385,000 votes.
By contrast, Trump won some 15 states w/ an astounding 1,350,000 votes, so far.
Bully tatics in the same vein as their Glorious Tweeter.
This makes the Republican party look like....well.....the Republican Party. The people’s vote really doesn’t matter. Remember the 2014 Mississippi Senate Race?
I’m really entertained by the medias’ take on this. A 3%+ win at the polls is now called “a tie”, and “rules are rules”.

For those with New York City values, a lie serves as well as the truth. In many cases, better.

Blood sport. Deal with it. They are crucifying Cruz and he is taking it in stride. I really do not care whether the nominee is Cruz or Trump. All I know is whoever our candidate is, goes into the general with some serious issues.
Why is it that people bother voting again, and why is it that Congress has an 11% approval rating, and why is it people think our political process is controlled by a handful of elites?
