On the campaign trail, Donald Trump has a clear answer to questions about a contested convention in Cleveland it's not happening.
"I know the press likes to talk about the brokered convention," he told NBC this week, "but I think we're doing really well."
The dealmaker, however, is not leaving anything to chance.

Then actively court the Christian vote
Then embarrass your family by staying in the Race and voters will say bye even what the Limbaugh's and Levin spin it.
Isn't that going to make you just another party insider?
Only if you take orders from them (smirk).
The point is to go to the convention as an “outsider.”
He's focused on getting the nomination the right way and taking down the other side. Then we have those who are working against him with the long-shot fantasy of their guy getting the nod and still giving the WH to Hillary.
Trump is the only one focused on taking the WH and keeping shenanigans out of it.
You’ll be stained with the party taint, don’t do it! :)
“the little scumbag will do anything to win.”
Are yo going to vote for Hillary if he does?
An actual article of substance. They’ve been a little thin on the ground.
One more thing for you:
Kasich constantly say’s: ‘I’ll finish the border’
The BORDER IS finished. Odd how he never mentions the word ‘fence’ when he speaks about the border.
Oops. Cruz won Alaska but trump equal delegates with Cruz. Seems states are recounting everywhere but you of course only talk Louisiana which is dishonest. Oh but you are a Cruz supporter so expected.
Cruz got the 10 in LA because he outsmarted the Greatest Negotiator the World has EVER known.
The New York State Republican Party has just changed its delegate selection rules. Delegates will no longer be selected by the candidate but by the party. So even the first vote is going to be tarnished with these cheaters, even if they don’t adopt the “conscience” rule for the first vote.
It will be fun watching live and taking bets on at which point chaos will break out.
Ok maybe but when Cruz is 280 (approx) behind does ten really close the gap much. Ted still has a quite a task to get to 1273. Trump has it much easier. Of course they are starting to hurt trump with rule changes in Pennsylvania and New York. GOPe is scarred that trump will take their gravy train away. They don’t have the same fear with Cruz.
AMEN.. AMEN.. AMEN to that!!!
You're so right.

Trump is the broom we need to sweep out the sh##

And that is why the powers that be in each state GOP group and nationally are going to do
everything they can to keep Trump out of the top spot.
What does one call a member of Free Republic with a sign up date of 7-31-2000, makes their first post on 3-9-02, has their first page of posting history span almost 6 years, (3-9-02 to 1-3-08), second page of posting history spans from 1-3-08 to 2-1-2016, disappears from the forum from 1-3-12 then reappears and begins posting like a zealot for Ted Cruz on 12-19-15?
Iowa David, you have an 11 page posting history here and 9 of them are filled with pro-Cruz anti-Trump posts.
Looking through your posting history, I also noticed you really know how to pick the winners too. Rick Santorum, Alan Keyes and Fred Thompson.
Iowa David, Id call you an election year FReeper troll or a paid operative. Yes, it took me a few minutes to look into your history here, but the only attention Ill ever pay you again is to repost this comment to discredit you.
How would one do this?
Call your county election commission.
Thank you for your quick reply. I assumed one would call their local party. So if there are open spots, you just file? How is it determined who gets the spots? Appreciate the insight.
