I have been chasing a story about Ted’s mother becoming a Canadian Citizen. It was reported that they both of his parents were listed on the Canadian voter rolls the year he was born...citizenship required? I read it and can not find it again to see who made the allegation...can you help?
Don’t bother, its a dry well. On second thought spend a lot of time chasing that down.
I read a blog posting somewhere in the past couple of weeks from a supposed neighbor of the Cruz’s stating that indeed mother cruz did become an Canadian Citizen...how true or not I could not verify...you know there is some much such out there on the interwebs that I begin to doubt my own digital footprints.
I think it was in one of the comments at Conservative Treehouse but I’m not sure. It did have images of the voter records, etc. and how an American citizen could become a Canadian citizen in one year, I believe if husband was Canadian citizen.
I believe the only certain way you can get mama Eleanor’s Canadian citizenship status, would be to get access to the records of naturalization. Other than that, a good investigator could track down a close friend of the parents and see if they heard something that told if she did get Canadian citizenship. This is something I wished someone had done with Susan Blake, the close friend of Stanley Ann, baby Barry’s mother. But, that’s another story and, we know how hard it is to get those pesky certificates.
