To be fair, I don’t like sex scandals or any other type of scandalous stuff, when it’s going on in the moment. It is a huge distraction, and someone who is supposed to be doing the will of the people in government cannot possibly hope to focus on their job when they’re being dogged by revelations about their personal indiscretions.
Stuff in the past, I’m more willing to give a pass on. But in the moment, it’s bad news.
We agree. What's the old saw about wrestling a pig in the mud? After a while, you realize the pig likes it. No, I'm not calling Trump or Cruz a pig, I'm talking about the real winner of this slimefest.
This style of campaign plays into Hillary's hands, IMHO. She likes it down and dirty, that's where a lot of her base lives. Republicans are much more likely to stay home in disgust than Democrats, who don't care so much about morals and ethics.
To be fair, there is no evidence that any of this is true. It is just convenient that Trump had a tabloid rag at his disposal to make accusations without any evidence.
Stuff in the past, Im more willing to give a pass on. But in the moment, its bad news.

Excepting Hillary, of course.
This is not a simple sex scandal. IF TRUE, it shows that Cruz has not one atom of self control about his urges, and is a liar, and has serious mental problems.
NOT presidential material.

There is also the issue of hypocrisy. Trump never claimed to be morally upstanding on sexual matters, whereas that has been a centerpiece of Cruz’ campaign, with his focus on evangelicals, etc.
I hate hearing the slime too, but all in all, I’d rather know it than not, if for no other reason than, once it is out, it gives one less area on which a politician can be blackmailed in the future.
