John Edwards, Gary Hart, and Jessie Jackson sure wished the people would have ignored the NE. I'm not saying that Cruz did this, but I do have a couple of problems here. 1. He immediately blamed Trump for this when he knew that #theThing was created by Rubio operatives, 2. He denied direct involvement with the sleezy ad on Melina Trump when Jeff Roe paid GQ for the pictures. We should see what shakes out here because if he were to become the nominee and this is proven true, it will all but hand the presidency to Hillary.
But I thought the Enquirer never went after Trump? It’s supposed to be pro-Trump right? That’s part of what was echoing around here yesterday. So you mean Trump has been fodder for the gossip?

I’ve noticed in the past that when Drudge gets scooped on a big story, he waits patiently until he can add a bigger “gotcha” to the story to run with it. So, looking for something major before the weekend is over. JMHO.

Cruz knows you cannot behave this way and run for POTUS, so only one participle can be correct: did he not have the affairs or is he NOT really running for Pres? If he’s not really running, then why go through the hassle?

One conclusion, this is someone firing a warning shot into DC establishment to protect themselves.

So why did his PAC transfer $500K to Carly. That is a big red flag and he better explain that.
When he broke the Clinton-Lewinsky affair, drudgereport was in its infancy and perhaps he took a chance to get his website on the map with the story. If I remember correctly, a reporter for a magazine was mad that his bosses were not running the story and gave it to Drudge.
Fast forward 20 years, drudgereport is one of the most popular and well respected news sites on the net. If I had to guess, he is waiting for the smoking gun (just like we are) so as to maintain his reputation. Because he hasn't said anything yet doesn't mean that there is nothing there.
...GOPe can step in with their real pick after Trump is blamed for the story. Anything to keep Trump from reaching 1237....
I thought of that angle.
I think Cruz was more effective winning delegates to block Trump from reaching 1237.
“They” could have waited for Cruz to get more delegates, then drop this bomb before the convention.

Because CRUZ came immediately attack mode at Trump. It may be the establishment thought they could take them both out with one scandal.
CRUZ camp set it up with low key comments and buying the pic from GQ giving it to another establishment anti trump group. Just happens that the BUsh Crew has recently joined the Cruz campaign. Coincident?
Then when they get a reaction a tabloid owned by a CLINTON supporter fires a cannon ball at Cruz. he reacts toward Trump. Is it the desire to take both out?
Am seeing the Bush/clinton cartel pulling the strings.
