The National Enquirer just dropped a bombshell on the Cruz campaign and the internet exploded overnight. Reports claim investigators found Ted Cruz allegedly had an affair with five different women. UPDATE #1: Ted Cruz Denies Affair. UPDATE #2: Trump Responds.
According to the Enquirer:
“Private detectives are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had,” claimed a Washington insider. “The leaked details are an attempt to destroy what’s left of his White House campaign!” The ENQUIRER reports that Cruz’s claimed mistresses include a foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney!
The publication did not name names and only printed pixelated photos. Internet users on Twitter, Reddit and 4chan quickly went to work to determine the identity of all five women while using the hashtag #CruzSexScandal.

Well, the reason I thought it was a misstep was that he backed away from it. If he had real dirt on Heidi he would have dropped it on her.
That’s just one explanation. We know that Trump has been aware of this scandal for some time and the fact that she has been implicated 2-3 weeks ago and still works on the campaign means he isn’t concerned. My guess is that she knows there is no concrete proof so it is “he said, she said” and that whatever she may have done with Cruz will not be a focal point going forward. Her status has nothing to do with Cruz’s guilt.
My bet is that Heidi is screaming “Layin Ted” right now.
I think she told him before he ever even hired her and I think Donald held this in reserve either because he didn’t want to go there or, more likely, because he wanted to make sure this bombshell did as much damage as possible at the most pivital and decive point in the battle. I strongly suspect that Donald Trump engineered this months ago.

This is a twitter post. No way of knowing how true it is. I don’t doubt the Enquirer story, but am frustrated with all the lies and rumors floating around. The interview with the prostitute is a blog post. The additional 3 women has been debunked. Guess we will find out more when this story breaks. Enquiring minds want to know!!

You say Cruz pretended to be holier than anyone else. Let’s show a little reality: Trump has dumped two wives for mistresses. FACT. Trump has admitted in two books to being a serial adulterer. FACT.
You don’t know that Cruz has had ONE affair, much less eight. I wonder if anyone’s MONEY is behind these charges.

As a Trump supporter, I agree. Lots of internet hype but no information.
However, Cruz’s response is poor — blaming Trump, angry at Trump ... if it were baseless, I’d mock the NE and compare the story to bat-boy or some other tripe. Twitter has not been a tool to elevate the campaign this year, that’s for sure.

The operative word here is “admittedly!” Trump’s personal life is open for all to see, not so for Felatio Cruze!
There's little doubt that this turn of events will benefit him greatly - so much so that one has to speculate, what did he know and when doid he know it? What Trump knew and when he knew it will remain a matter of speculation for a long time I suspect.

Hey, it is no surprise about Trump’s wife posing naked, that news has been around for at least a decade and can be found easily. I know Trump is sensitive, but good grief everyone already knew about those photos for ages. Hardly a gut punch.
