Guess the TrueBlueConservatives™ who would rather allow Hillary to waltz into the White House if Trump is our Republican nominee rather than voting for him are going to attempt to take down FR.

As far as I'm concerned not voting for our Rebublican nominee against the America-hating, constitution-hating, God-hating Marxist/fascist/socialist/democrat totalitarian traitors is tantamount to treason.
I can remember when we fought real wars against these communist bastards and real Americans died to preserve our Constitution and our freedom and our right to vote. Those who think they're too good to VOTE against the commies can piss away their freedom on some other website.
Those agreeing that another commie should win the election unopposed and without a fight or even a vote are welcome to join her.

There is no way Trump is as bad as her, and that’s who I want to vote for. I don’t like Cruz, but he isn’t as bad as her either, not by a long shot.

If it helps, think of it this way.
When Trump is attacked, he attacks back twice as hard.
His wife was attacked by a fairly filthy ad campaign, and whether Cruz had anything to do with it or not, it WAS done in order to support him. And while I personally wouldn’t have dragged Heidi into it, I admire the fact that he protects his wife.
If a man won’t protect his wife, how can we expect him to protect the USA once he gets into office?
But if he DOES protect his wife and goes this far, it seems to me that he’s a lot more likely to be willing to be un-PC in order to protect the nation.
You don’t have to like Trump himself to like what he says that he’ll do.

I told a Freeper last week that I am making this decision with much PRAYER behind it, and the response was " well I'm not praying about it"... I think prayer over our vote and this election is paramount.

We’ve butted heads more than a few times, but your comments about prayer are something that we can completely agree on.
What I don’t understand is why all those who advocate destroying the GOP majorities in Congress aren’t just as bad, or even worse, than the #neverTrump crowd.
It was the hysterical never Trumpers who started down this path in an attempt to scare people into not voting for Trump. Therefore, Trumpers replying “what’s good for the goose, is good for the gander” is fair play. Trump took “The Pledge”. He and his supporters have been spit on for their effort. The GOPe can all rhetorically die in a fire now as far as I am concerned. After seeing GOPe and rich DEMOCRATS meeting in secret to thwart the will of the GOP base they are dead to me.

Have you ever prayerfully sat down and honestly looked at Trump’s kids, his contributions to our military or for example the Central Park Jogger, any positive you can google about him. I am not saying he is perfect or should be your first choice but in no way is he on a level with an evil person. At least it might help to try.

Jim - I think you are just having a bad day.
I simply doubt Trump's most recent conversion to the Republican party and truly fear he will be nearly as bad as Hillary.
I'm not ready for an opus yet. If Trump should secure the Republican nomination - and I pray to God that it does not happen - perhaps I will pen one then.
Until then, it is my duty as a conservative to discuss, debate, cajole, argue and fight to ensure that there is a candidate - Republican, Conservative, Bull Moose, Libertarian or Martian - on the November ballot who will defeat the Democrat nominee.
We both want the same result, we just disagree on how or who will get us there.

I’ve studied history long enough to agree with you that any communist/socialist ( i.e. current democratic candidates) is anathema to this Nation’s future, but also to see that this election is a Rubicon and that Trump’s parallels to an ambitious Julius Caesar are many and dangerous.
He might “make America great again” but I personally would like to keep the Framers’ Republic as our model of government.. An empire has never proved itself a friend of equality for all or a protector of unalienable rights.
Maybe if we stopped maligning each other at every turn (not you, not even the majority of Freepers - I’m thinking of the last post LibbyLu wrote and of the more strident supporters of various candidates who cast aspersions on everything from positions of faith to individuals’ sexual orientation) we could get back to the kind of meaningful, thought-provoking, problem solving discussions you established Free Republic to promote.

We’ve become too used to girly-men afraid to speak up that alpha males seem too extreme when they protect their families - or their country. I miss the good old days of John Wayne, Patton, and Churchill not seen as extreme but was MEN. just men, without the testosterone removed.
Just for clarification, I did vote for Romney, but it didn’t keep Obama from a second term, just left be feeling like I’d let my country down.
