Donald Trump: ‘Ted Cruz’s Problem with the National Enquirer Is His and His Alone’
Breitbart ^ | 03/25/16 | Michelle Moons

Posted on 03/25/2016 4:59:19 PM PDT by Enlightened1

Donald Trump on Friday denied claims from fellow 2016 Republican presidential contender

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) that Trump’s friends at the National Enquirer and Trump “political henchmen” are behind a story that the Texas senator engaged in several extramarital affairs.

Trump posted a statement on Friday responding to the Cruz accusation:

I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week’s issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it.

Likewise, I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Lyin’ Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchman and then pretend total innocence. Ted Cruz’s problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin’ Ted Cruz.

I look forward to spending the week in Wisconsin, winning the Republican nomination and ultimately the Presidency in order to Make America Great Again.

– Donald J. Trump

Cruz denied accusations of marital infidelity as “garbage” and accused Trump of enlisting “his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen to do his bidding” in a statement issued Friday. Cruz also inferred nefarious timing of the National Enquirer story in a Friday press conference.

If nothing else this election cycle is revealing exactly who the paid GOPe agents are on the FR.

I've noticed at least two that seem to be posting damn near 24/7.

Now I know we have many older, retiree type folks, but if they were real people they gotta sleep sometime.

This Cruz story of affairs has been around for a while and was first in the hands of the
Rubio campaign sometime back.

snip
Cruz fired back on Friday, charging that the piece was baseless and that the Enquirer was
taking its marching orders straight from “Donald Trump and his henchmen.”

The truth behind the rumor-mongering, however, is a little more complex. A half-dozen GOP
operatives and media figures tell The Daily Beast that Cruz’s opponents have been pushing
charges of adultery for at least six months now—and that allies of former GOP presidential
hopeful Marco Rubio were involved in spreading the smears.

Well, I quoted Trump word for word and was suspended for it more than once. So either FR is shilling for Trump, or they found his words (uttered on radio and television, mind you) so vile I was suspended for reproducing Trump’s vileness on FR.

I personally find Ted Cruz very creepy and was wondering how he could get these obviously attractive, intelligent women to sleep with him.

I realized today he is like a Svengali who totally enthralls people to the point where they are mindless as far as he is concerned.

They see none of the warts, believe all evidence against his god-like persona are lies and blame everyone but him for any and all problems.

That is really scary.

Eventually you are going to have to face up to the fact that Donald Trump has friends everywhere. That fact does not influence every event there is, especially where Cruz is involved

In fact, he is so vile, that if you post the most vile things he has said (in public mind you) on this forum, it can get you banned or suspended from FR.

I don't believe you. Prove it. I'm not talking about anything that happened in the past, I'm saying, demonstrate to us right now, that if you post certain things, you will get banned. Because I think you're lying. However, if you get banned, I will certainly admit that you were telling the truth and I misjudged your claim.

Trump problem with Carly’s PAC was his and his alone, but that didn’t stop him from lying about who put out the ad.

You are not truthful about the author who was let go
(he put down Obama and not what you said),
and one doubts you are truthful about anything
else involving the proven-liar Willard Cruz.

That’s the Cruz M.O. ...whenever something bad comes out against Cruz , the Cruz camp instantly blames Trump ...almost like it’s contrived by the GOPe/Cruz forces to give them a reason to go after Trump

I don't know if the NE is true or not but I would not be surprised one bit if some, most or all of it is. I would say the lure of power, money and sex provide the biggest temptations to men in positions to take advantage of and abuse those things. Ted Cruz has already made some awfully poor decisions in regards to power and money that contradict his Christian image, so why would sex be any different?

I've seen many Ted Cruz supporters take to defending their guy in various ways against this story, including calling the source (NE) into question. That is certainly a legitimate defense.

Maybe I've missed it but what I haven't seen from Cruz supporters is a defense of "Impossible! Ted Cruz would NEVER do that!" That's because even Cruz supporters are (subconsciously) afraid that there might some truth to this story since it becomes more obvious every day that he is not quite the guy we were sold.

I’ll tell you what. How about I pass the information to you via PM and you post it and see what happens. We will pass them to you, and you post them, one at a time, until I watch you get banned or suspended. Sounds like fun, yes?

The thing that's interesting is that this group of Cruz supporters who is like this, they are always saying that all of us who support Trump are culty followers. And yet we readily admit the guy has a ton of problems, that there is a lot in the 'cost' column of the cost/benefit analysis that led us to choose him over the others. So in most cases it's a rational process where we have consciously accepted his imperfections, he certainly does not pretend to be perfect ... and we've said 'Ok this is the best we've got, and frankly, it's looking pretty good so long as it's what we think it is'

Then on the other hand you have these TediJones types who really do seem to think Cruz is not human - in the 'above' sense - not the 'lacking humanity' sense we see. It's weird - as I was telling Mr. Jones earlier ... I read and heard a lot about Cruz before I ever saw him in person speak - I thought, wow, we have the great, smart, truly conservative, clearly good good man. Loved him ... up until that moment that I watched him speaking. I thought 'really?.'

Some, few, don't seem to have that reaction - and I think that's what you get here - they aren't evil - they just don't pick up what we all picked up on even before the mud slinging started = there is something wrong with Ted. I believe he's autism/asperger specturm, also missing the empathy/connectedness gene. That's what's necessary to be a sociopath, but not sufficient, so I'm not saying Ted's a sociopath, but he's definitely missing some of the wiring that makes you a human being. Or ... I've totally mis read it. But if I have, it's not because of anything Trump told me. Trump never even talks about Cruz's ... oddness.

the media that are picking this up have uncovered the Rubio connection but Cruz is still deflecting on Trump

He is really slimey and despicable

I hope anonymous produces pictures, video, recordings and dna
