Trump posted a statement on Friday responding to the Cruz accusation:
I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week’s issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it.
Likewise, I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Lyin’ Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchman and then pretend total innocence. Ted Cruz’s problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin’ Ted Cruz.
I look forward to spending the week in Wisconsin, winning the Republican nomination and ultimately the Presidency in order to Make America Great Again.

Cruz denied accusations of marital infidelity as “garbage” and accused Trump of enlisting “his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen to do his bidding” in a statement issued Friday. Cruz also inferred nefarious timing of the National Enquirer story in a Friday press conference.

I don’t think the National Enquirer would run with it unless it was true.
The Trump campaign I’m sure already knows about it, and the Cruz Camp is in pure panic mode along with the Establishment.
Trump is vile through and through. In fact, he is so vile, that if you post the most vile things he has said (in public mind you) on this forum, it can get you banned or suspended from FR. I know this from personal experience.
In true lawyer fashion, if not true, Ted should demand an immediate retraction dare them to put up or shut up and threaten a big hairy lawsuit. Instead he blamed Trump.
I tend to think the story is true because the NI would not dare to run it if it was false. They will be sued out of existence. (Rightfully so).
I also don’t expect much out of Politicians.
I really hope the story is false, for the country, Ted and his family.
Really? If the candidates were based from saying each other’s names Trump would be a mime!
I bet Ted regrets attacking Trump’s wife.

I saw Trump do a lot of talking without once mentioning Cruz and on the same day Cruz was fixated on Trump. At one point a talking head, I think it was Chris Wallace finally had to stop Cruz and say “What are YOU going to do?”.
Ted shouldn’t have had his campaign manager supply the pictures of Marlena to the PAC.
It’s not true. It has all the “anonymous” hallmarks of a total hit job. And all the players that are promoting it—including the school for scandal Donald Trump—STINK TO HIGH HEAVEN.
It’s really amazing isn’t it? First, Cruz supporters have had to defend him against his NBC status. The same arguments they used against Obama are not valid for Ted. Then, they have had to make the twisted argument that he is not aligned with the establishment when all evidence to the contrary is that he is and always has been establishment. Now, they are defending him against sexual allegations. All the while, they need to keep up the canard that he is a moral and Christian man. So in effect, they are supporting a candidate with the professional experience of Obama, the personal integrity of Clinton, and connections to the Bush family. And they have the audacity to criticize Trump supporters for our support of Trump.
Cruz has fell off his rocker.
