..IMHO this is a side issue apart from the arguing back and forth between DJT and Cruz about wives. I cannot prove it, but this feels like a nuclear first strike by the Uniparty against Cruz, possibly even funded by Soros.

Kind of a pro-active attack on Cruz in the event he stops Trump... and the Establishment needs to 'take Cruz down' in the convention.
