If we’re talking ancestral tribes that take a few per year for their own consumption, I’m not going to knock that.
I’m not entirely comfortable about talking down whaling by Japan either. I will admit to have a big soft spot for elephants and whales.
I don’t want to see the big cats eradicated from planet earth either. Where they are a threat to communities, then sure.

Then elephants and whales. (especially blue whales)
Both are equally majectic - and I always liked elephants a lot.
