A pair of new polls are showing good news for presidential hopeful Ted Cruz.
In a new Fox News poll of 388 likely GOP primary voters, frontrunner Donald Trump and Texas Senator Ted Cruz are now in a statistical dead heat nationally. The poll shows Trump and Cruz polling at 41%-38% respectively, a slight edge for the real estate mogul, but within the poll's +/- 5 point margin of error. Governor John Kasich is running in third place with 17%.
A second poll, this one from Emerson College, is spelling good news for Ted Cruz in the April 5th, winner-take-all Wisconsin primary and in a hypothetical match-up against Hillary Clinton in the general election. Emerson College reports:
Ted Cruz is not only leading Trump 36% to 35% in the upcoming primary, but Cruz is only trailing Hillary Clinton by one point in a hypothetical general election matchup, 46% to 45%. In contrast, Trump is trailing both Clinton and her Democratic rival, Bernie Sanders, by the same 9-point margin of 47% to 38% in a potential general election match-up.
The Emerson College poll also shows Ohio Governor John Kasich rounds out the GOP field with 19% of the vote.
The news could be an indication that anti-Trump Republicans are beginning to consolidate around the Texas Senator.
Small sample polls are a joke at best.

In Nov. a national race maybe of value but right now it is state by state for their delegates.

"Not authorized by any candidate or candidate committee."
Or he understands it but chooses to perpetuate a lie...
That isn’t a Cruz PAC.
No, he didn’t. Liz Mair ran that ad. Her anti-Trump PAC started months ago and she, like Romney, has supported different candidates at different times in different states to try to stop Trump. Cruz had nothing to do with the ad and didn’t know about it until it hit the media.
388 could be a valid population size. It’s done with a lot fewer.
The Real Clear Politics Average of polls ( Faux ) included has Trump 13 points ahead. and Today’s CNN Poll today has the same. Enjoy you Faux Nudes/Megyn Kelly poll.
Another lie, there are still enough delegate for Cruz to win outright. He only needs to win 54% of the remaining electorate to get the 80 percent of the delegates that he needs to win it. Difficult, but not impossible.
exactly.. it’s TRUMPS only way of getting ahead.. trashing the opponent. Dirty dirty politics!!!!He is scared to death of Ted Cruz. WONT debate him !!

“You are full of baloney. Cruz is everything wrong with American politics, today.
Everything.”
Yes, and have yoy]u noticed that CW isn’t posting any longer? All Horn, no driveshaft!
I don’t think “moved ahead” means what you think.
I’ve noticed you troll a lot but either not bright or not honest.
no he didn’t. The truth be told he was not behind that photo at ALL.. TRUMP has yet to prove that and is smearing lies to try and get leverage against Cruz gaining in the polls.
He certainly wins the title over Obama and Clinton.
No he didn’t, Trump attacked Cruz with the NBC BS when he started posing a challenge in the polls.
Of course it had absolutely nothing to do with the Melania ad. Seriously, CW, you are smarter than that.
"......Men, like Ben Sasse, weighing in on Trumps grotesque attacks on Heidi Cruz is going to raise the cost of endorsing Trump for other politicians who are inclined to do so. Dragging Heidi Cruz into this mess that was started by using a picture of Melania Trump that she was paid to pose for is simply that act of a man devoid of honor, integrity, or manliness. This could very well end up being the straw that broke the camels back."
GO, TRUMP!
