Jeb Bush early Wednesday endorsed Ted Cruzs Republican presidential bid, calling the Texas senator a consistent, principled conservative.
Bush, who ended his own campaign last month, said Cruz has has demonstrated the ability to appeal to voters and win primary contests.
Washington is broken, and the only way Republicans can hope to win back the White House and put our nation on a better path is to support a nominee who can articulate how conservative policies will help people rise up and reach their full potential," the former Florida governor said.
Bush called on Republicans to overcome the divisiveness and vulgarity has brought to the political arena or risk losing the White House.
To win, Republicans need to make this election about proposing solutions to the many challenges we face, and I believe that we should vote for Ted as he will do just that, Bush added.
Bushs endorsement follows Cruzs win in Tuesdays Utah caucuses, where he won all 40 of the states delegates.
It’s pretty certain that posters on the losing end of an argument eventually resort to attacking others - like calling them “paid trolls.”
I’m not. I don’t work for anyone (or volunteer).
I just call ‘em like I see ‘em.
Btw, someone might accuse you of what you’re accusing others of (being a paid troll), though I wouldn’t resort to something so low.
CW will be off here in about an hour or so and then another paid troll from sleazy cruz will be on here repeating the same tired talking points and spinning how great it is to be with the establishment when they ignore what he said
Let me encourage other members of the establishment: Keep supporting Donald Trump because every time you do it, what it is doing is telling conservatives all over the country is where you stand and who stands with you.
- Ted Cruz, New Hampshire stump speech
“Those open primaries sure have been good to Donald.”
It is called growing the base. Something that slammed to a halt with the arrival of the Bush gang and the neocons.
Why would they. Supporting Trump makes perfect sense. Supporting Cruz is delusional at this point.
That’s what Cruz said....”Cruz further told Trump that “you’re better than this. We should all agree, racism is wrong, KKK is abhorrent.””
then explain how you can defend this and then even say it is a good thing when we all clearly stated , including you that cruz was an outsider.
Hmmmm, I'm not sure about that. I think it's more of the "stop Trump" from getting 1237, and Bush knew Kasich couldn't get the job done. Otherwise, Bush would have endorsed Cruz a while ago.
Arizona was a closed primary.
We’re most likely contemporaries “young lady.”
Cincinatus and I had the privilege of supporting Ronald Reagan, cheering his stand against communism and being witnesses to his loving restoration of the heart and soul of our nation, and then we were there at the end to view Ronald Reagan lying in state at the Capitol.
Lastly, we were able to visit his resting place in CA.
I knew this is what Rove meant last night. Cruz is now firmly in the Bush establishment camp. Personally I think Cruz is looking and acting like a turkey vulture.
Cruz cannot win the general and I guess I realize the GOP intends to elect Hillary and won’t be stopped this time.
They will do anything and everything for illegal immigration and at this point Cruz is their pawn. Everything he claims to stand for is going to be destroyed because be puts himself ahead of America.
Maybe principled bush had to wait and see if principled Ted could grab at least Utah before endorsing him
432 delegates for Ted only 805 to go - Whoo hoo!
On to capture the Mormon votes in PA, NY and maybe even California!
Wonder where this leaves Rubio?
I don’t think there is amity between them
but does Rubes have the stones to throw in with Trump?
Kasich won’t quit because if he did he has to give up his Ohio delegates
They will only be pried from his cold stiff fingers
Because what you say, and what is true, are two different things manc.
True comments
Self before party, party before country
Cruz crossed the rubicon with campaign ads featuring Mrs Trump
No soup for Ted
Bush endorsing Cruz shows me that Bush the socialist RINO has given Cruz the kiss of death.
Let’s not forget when Bush got out he was polling at 6%...lol
The ruling republican elites and their followers here will be lead like sheep.
If it’s such a “kiss of death,” why is Breitbart sitting on it?
