Team Kasich Says Ted Cruz Lying About New York Ballot (shortened)
Breitbart ^ | 3/22/16 | Matthew Boyle

Posted on 03/23/2016 1:16:23 AM PDT by Dana1960

The presidential campaign for Ohio Gov. John Kasich is crying foul over reports that rival candidate Sen. Ted Cruz said in a private Manhattan meeting that Kasich didn’t make the ballot in New York state.

I don't understand this one bit. Cruz is facing a bunch of states that aren't necessarily predisposed to him anyway. Why would you allow this kind of monkey business pop up...again?

The other thing that bothers me about this is that this reminds me a bit of how Obama made sure people weren't on the ballot against him. Cruz isn't doing anything like actually getting people off the ballot, but passing the word that someone might not be on the ballot (and it is a lie) seems like he is going for a similar effect on potential voters.

Cruz better watch it; he could turn Trump & Kasich into allies.

This is simply more bull-crap. In your linked Breitbart article, please read what Sam Nunberg (who was at the meeting) said about Cruz saying no such thing.

So, Kasich now knows what a liar Ted is. Cruz is an embarrassment - just a total embarrassment, with all his lies. Trump has nothing against Kasich personally, they just don’t agree on policies.

Picket has since updated her article to remove the claim she reported.

A story about Kasich's campaign manager reacting to something someone claimed Cruz said that was never said and the reporter had retracted.

From the original Daily Caller article:
One GOP official complained to Cruz that Donald Trump had been involved in political campaigns in New York and New Jersey for years, but that Trump always funded his Democratic opponents.

I think you both need to re-read the piece that Breitbart posted. Two different reporters, from two different publications both reported the same thing. It sounds like Cruz “amended” his comments later on to say that Kasich shouldn’t be on the ballot — which is not the same as saying he won’t be on the ballot, as these two reporters said first. This tells me that someone pulled Cruz aside during a break and told him that, in fact, Kasich HAD made the ballot and he had to walk his comment back and fix it before it got out of that room.

I do not believe both of these reporters invented this comment by Cruz, especially Kelly Picket. She is a damn good reporter.

Maybe this isn’t why Rubio is not interested in teaming up with him — he tried to pull this on Rubio, suggesting he had dropped out, you will recall. How can you team up with someone who is going to shiv you in the ribs?

Or perhaps Cruz is just unlucky...over and over again.

I live in a very red state.

Contrary to popular belief, there ARE Democrats here. And every single one of them contribute to GOP candidates. All the time, and in every election. When I lived in a swing state, this would have been a non-starter. However, when you live in a one-party state, if you don’t play ball with them, forget being a successful business owner.

They can literally pass legislation, signed into law, that is designed to put your company under.

A one party state, either red or blue, is functionally like the Mafia.

Here is the chart:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3360688/posts?page=133

These numbers perfectly comport with his concerns at the time, namely, the war in Iraq. He has made no secret about his disdain for it and most certainly thought the Dems would at least slow it down, if not stop it outright. The vast majority of $$$ have gone to the GOP. I think he has a visceral hatred of the Bushes and their warmonging.

My biggest fear with Trump is that the price he’ll have to pay at the convention is making Jeb his VP. Just like they forced GHWB on Reagan.

:(

No, you have multiplpe people saying he said it—and then one former Trump guy saying it was said in a slightly different context.

Not what you are claiming.

“Sen. Ted Cruz said in a private Manhattan meeting”

Ted does like to have those private meetings in NY city. Must be his NY values showing.

Too bad you didn’t read, but then again Trump supporters seen to always avoid the truth. Too bad Trump is paying for Trumpbart. They have no integrity either.

Anyone on his staff or other supporters putting out the info? Seems odd that sop much slime comes out of his supporters' efforts to take Trump down but he always has "plausible deniability" and so many "Cruz or Lose" types are happy to ignore the coincidences that they would jump all over if it happened to be anyone but Cruz...

Ted Cruz is a porn distributor that provides porn to children.
Since Teds Pac sent out nude photos of Trumps wife out willy nilly everywhere in Utah where underage teenage boys and younger could have seen them isnt that providing porn to children?I have some new slogans for Rafael Cruz.

“Sam Nunberg—a New York Republican who previously advised Donald Trump’s campaign and is now unaffiliated but attended the Cruz meeting in Manhattan—told Breitbart News that Cruz didn’t say what Picket reported he said, or at least not in that context.

Nunberg said in a brief phone interview on Tuesday:

I attended the meeting. Sen. Cruz said that by the time the primary reaches New York, Kasich will have been out of the race because he is going to lose Arizona, he is going to lose Utah, and he is going to lose Wisconsin. He will have no rationale to be in the race and therefore should not be in the primary any longer. He never said in that room that Kasich was not on the ballot. Perhaps they should worry about winning another state besides Ohio.”

Another phony article saying Cruz said something that he never said!

I’m not understanding this at all. A simple call by anyone to any NY Board of Elections will tell you who’s on the ballot. If Cruz did or didn’t say this a simple phone call would verify it either way so why say anything?
