After all, he’s got the media on his side now. Gave Kasich and Cruz Presidential type coverage on Brussels and none for Trump

Their favorite is Kasich. Kasich stole Cruz’s line that Obamma is playing baseball with the castro brothers , while Brussels burns. They are crediting Kasich for coming up with that quip. They hate both Cruz and Trump.

American leadership of NATO is quite bad presently.

So NATO did remove Qadaffi— which was a bad idea.

Under good American leadership NATO does stop fundamentalist terror bombings. It also can secure regions such as the no fly zones over iraq prior to iraq war 2.

Examples include the Prolif security initiative PSI. This is a global network of interdictions that stops weapon materials on the high seas. It optimally involves 66 countries that agree with us about terrorism— including NATO.

NATO is the key force in Kosovo which is the top European recruiting site for Al Qaeda.

Good leadership of NATO can and has [under Bush] stopped terrorist attacks.

Withdrawing from NATO will not increase our security. it will also definitely cause Putin to seek further intimidation and domination of East European states.

I was hoping for that for a long time, and even after the sniping started, I was hoping that they could kiss and make up. Now, I no longer even want Cruz on the ticket. I don’t think he would help, and if I were Trump, I’m not sure I’d want a Bushie in line to take my place. His amibition is a little scary.

I no longer see Cruz the same way.

In what way is that? From your posting history, you'd have to have elevated Cruz from super-duper demon to super-duper-ginormous-stupendous-arch demon, if your view of Cruz has changed.

Note to readers - you will see MANY Trump supporters claiming prior support for Cruz, only to now view Cruz as a vile, loathsome creature, and who will go out of their way to post this to numerous threads. Two concerns that should make the reader take pause:
1. The poster is lying about prior support in an attempt to sway opinion. It works by trying to convince an opponent that changing your mind is ok "hey, I did it, and I used to LOVE Cruz" since Cruz has now been revealed as a horrible person/candidate/Christian.
2. The poster is subject to wild, emotion-based swings in perception and belief. Caution is urged in taking the opinion of such into consideration, as said opinion may be ill-considered or even irrational.

In short, take care in evaluating any information from this sub-category of Trump supporter. For example, you might want to actually watch the whole, unedited clip of Cruz's statement, rather than assume the original poster or source is acting above-board.

I’m not a big fan of that line of attack by Cruz. Cruz has plenty of meaningful criticisms of Trump, so can’t condone or understand why he sticks to some of these weak arguments.

Donald Trump said they should do more of their own security with their own forces and on their own dime.

This attack makes HIM RIGHT.

And Cruz saying we should spend more money and send more troops to those who refuse to care for themselves, just because they let themselves be overrun with muslims, is STUPID!

Had they been taking care of their own security this probably would not have happened.

Ok doctor. Let’s hear your spin. This should be good.

You are lying. I NEVER claimed prior support for Cruz. NEVER. However, I’m mature enough to still have had some respect for Cruz as a candidate and Trump’s potential VP pick early on. That is no longer the case. I will not be voting for Cruz. I no longer see him the same way.

Understand?

He didn’t just talk about Bin-Ladin, he devoted an entire chapter, plus some additional references elsewhere in the book, to discussing the increasing threat of terrorism the year before 9/11. It’s one of the topics he focused on the most in the book. He also talked about potential anthrax attacks in the book too a year before anthrax started being sent through the mail.

The Europeans for decades have gotten complacent because we effectively pay for their security. Trump is right on this. If anything, this would strengthen NATO if Europeans stepped up, instead of NATO just effectively being the US + UK and a bunch of observers.

If you can't understand Cruz was not blaming Trump, but was highlighting a policy difference, you're highlighting the lack of intellectual rigor so many conservatives here and elsewhere have lamented among the Trump crowd. You are FEELING, not THINKING, and that's no way to make a rational decision.

Let's say you're right that it's a "policy statement". Any rational person would look at his words and conclude that Cruz is saying that Donald Trump's policy about NATO led to the attack on Brussels.

I don't know why you can't be honest about this. Clearly Cruz was trying to gain political advantage by tying Donald Trump and his NATO policy to the Brussels attack. Clearly. There's no need to mention Donald Trump at all unless that was his intention.

I'm not "feeling" at all. I'm reading what a cold calculating ambitious SOB Cruz is and how he methodically and calculatingly tried to blame Trump for an ISIS terror attack.

Shouldn't be surprised though...he did the same thing at the Chicago rally. Tried to blame Trump for the actions of far left radical groups.

Cruz has turned into Rahm: “Never let a good crisis go to waste”.

I’ve lost a lot of respect for Cruz. Trump may be rude but Cruz just has morphed into someone I don’t know anymore. Maybe he’s always been this kind of person or maybe he is just listening to the wrong advisors. Cruz has been a far less gracious and competent when replying to these kind of events than Trump. Trump didn’t attack Cruz today he went after the culprits. Cruz went on to use this event to attempt to totally mislead on Trump’s very clear position on fighting terrorism. He also revealed ignorance on the role of NATO which has rejected any involvement in fighting ISIS primarily because of Turkey’s continued membership in NATO. Turkey appears to be clandestinely helping ISIS or turning a blind eye to it as far as it comes to selling oil.

Sh!t, those w/ enough common sense given to a earthworm could have predicted the same thing.

DT was one of the few to call a spade a spade w/out crying home back to mama when the ‘elite/Left’ called up the PC posse.

IMO, most/all of our FRiends were more of ‘When it happens (again)’, not ‘If it..’. Course, we don’t have a bully pulpit...

Here's the trouble with FR Trump supporters...you folks are doing an EXCELLENT job of making it hard for supporters of other candidates to pull the Trump lever come November. How? By outright just making $#!^ up and otherwise acting like buffoons and blowhards. YOU ARE NOT DOING YOUR CANDIDATE FAVORS.

This is precisely the way I feel about Cruz supporters here. Maybe you haven't noticed, but there is a full-on civil war on this site, and your side is at least as bad as the other one.
