If you can't understand Cruz was not blaming Trump, but was highlighting a policy difference, you're highlighting the lack of intellectual rigor so many conservatives here and elsewhere have lamented among the Trump crowd. You are FEELING, not THINKING, and that's no way to make a rational decision.

Let's say you're right that it's a "policy statement". Any rational person would look at his words and conclude that Cruz is saying that Donald Trump's policy about NATO led to the attack on Brussels.

I don't know why you can't be honest about this. Clearly Cruz was trying to gain political advantage by tying Donald Trump and his NATO policy to the Brussels attack. Clearly. There's no need to mention Donald Trump at all unless that was his intention.

I'm not "feeling" at all. I'm reading what a cold calculating ambitious SOB Cruz is and how he methodically and calculatingly tried to blame Trump for an ISIS terror attack.

Shouldn't be surprised though...he did the same thing at the Chicago rally. Tried to blame Trump for the actions of far left radical groups.

...

Well said. I was neutral until Cruz sold out to the establishment a couple of weeks ago. He’ll say or do anything to satisfy his ambition, which is the main reason I didn’t like Rubio since the Gang of 8.

Let's say you're right that it's a "policy statement".

You'll go with it's a policy statement, i.e. NOT assessing blame, but then...

Any rational person would look at his words and conclude that Cruz is saying that Donald Trump's policy about NATO led to the attack on Brussels.

Noting the use of the word, "any", any rational person who listens to the audio will hear a statement on policy differences. Only an irrational person would think Cruz thinks the terrorists somehow decided Trump's statements less than 12 hours before warranted an attack. Cruz doesn't think this, and didn't say this, either.

Based on the seemingly conflicting ideas from the first sentence to the second, in which side of the rationality spectrum can I conclude you've occupied?

And on a personal note, I've seen you post on various topics for years and never had a WTF moment. What is it about Trump vs. Cruz that has caused your reasoning to slip?
