Donald Trump Is Finally Uniting Top Republican Donors — Against Him
NY Times ^ | March 20, 2016 | Nicholas Confessore and Rachel Shorey

The prospect of a Donald J. Trump nomination is accomplishing what a diverse and talented field of Republican presidential contenders could not: uniting the party’s big-money donor establishment.

Some of the wealthiest conservative givers in the country are helping pay for a series of last-ditch attacks to wound Mr. Trump, disclosures filed on Sunday night revealed, even after previously backing rival Republican candidates. And officials involved with the political groups have made clear that they are aggressively raising more money to fight Mr. Trump, hoping to deprive him of enough delegates to win the Republican nomination outright. That would set the stage for a contested convention in July.

“I am a Cruz supporter, but this is insane. The Party elites, the MSM, and the oligarchs have all joined hands to thwart the voters and to ensure no one — no one — gets near their power and controls.”

These are the people that Cruz is working for.

It is my personal belief that Cruz is a real-deal Conservative who is playing the system to his advantage. In office, I am confident Cruz will be the Left’s worst nightmare.

I respect that Trump has gotten more people behind him, I really do, but I think a Trump presidency would be more about expediency than in maintaining core conservative values.

I will not be voting for Hillary — either by staying home or otherwise, unless the GOPe manufactures some outcome that robs voters of their voice.

Wishful thinking...the fact is several big name donors are sitting out the primaries.

It's rumored that the asteroid crater in Northern Arizona is not large enough to hold Trump;s Fat Headed Ego.

“Limbaugh said today that these conservatives prefer a Hillary presidency so they can keep their power.”

My evolving thoughts on the GOPe & Dems (i.e., the Uni-Party) opposition with regard to Trump, and what his Presidency might bring shakes out this way:

Defcon 5 - Their entrenched DC power structure (back scratching among themselves, media cover, etc.) will crumble completely and fall by the wayside

Defcon 3 - The treasonous theft of money from the US Treasury through their decades of graft, corruption, and cronyism will come to a screeching halt

Defcon 1 - There will be some very high-profile people, with both Ds and Rs next to their names, that will end up in prison, and rightfully so.

Follow the money. It’s no more complex than that.

Rush has been relentlessly and utterly slimed around here over the past few months. Is he suddenly credible again?
