Kasich is going to hand it to Trump. I wonder if Trump is somehow paying him behind the scenes because all he is doing by staying in is helping Trump.

I think Kasich honestly believes he can get the nod at an open convention...

It is unknown. Either Kasich is truly forcing as the VP ticket, or is working with the Establishment to destroy TRUMP at Convention, in some kind of a “unity” maneuver/compromise, which is developing to avoid both cRUSE and TRUMP.

I think the main reason Rubio stayed in so long and why Cruz and Kasich stay in is massive egos. If they truly wanted to stop Trump, they would 'fall on their swords' but they so badly want to be president, they keep paving the way for Trump.

Maybe in the Western states, but in the Northeast, Kasich is more of a real threat to Trump than Cruz. Kasich will limit the number of delegates Trump would otherwise pick up in states like PA, CT, RI, and perhaps even NY (none of which are winner-take-all).

How is Kasich helping Trump? Trump wins either way.

I tried to tell my friends and family last week that a vote for Kasich is a vote for Trump, but because I was a Trump supporter they wouldn’t believe me.

All they did was energize Kasich.

I understand that at one point Ted Cruz funded Carly Fiorina. It was a strategic move on his part, and given that Ted is still in the race, it must have been a smart move.

It would make sense for Trump to keep Kasich in the race. There’s always a danger involved, but I doubt Kasich will rise.

“Kasich is going to hand it to Trump. I wonder if Trump is somehow paying him behind the scenes because all he is doing by staying in is helping Trump.”

So you think if Kasich dropped out, 100% of the votes going to this Easterner would go to Cruz.

Blame your own weak candidate Cruz. He gets such low numbers in most states you guys have to cry for help from other candidates. This despite 24/7 talk radio and Fox shilling for Cruz and everyone laying off him to direct fire at Trump. So boody hoo if Cruz can’t get freebie votes from other people dropping out. He doesn’t deserve them.

Yep, this is what I’ve been saying. The only thing Kasich is accomplishing by staying in this race is to prevent Cruz from being able to beat Trump in a one on one match up.
