Arizona's primary is Tuesday, but more than half the ballots have already been cast including for candidates who've left the race.
By the time Ted Cruz arrived Friday at the tiny border town of Douglas for his first Arizona event of 2016, he was already too late for the hundreds of thousands of Republicans who had already voted.
Election day is still two days away in Arizona but well more than half of Republicans expected to vote in the states Tuesday primary have already cast their ballots complicating Cruz's attempts overtake Donald Trump as both make a late push for the states lucrative, winner-take-all prize of 58 delegates.
A candidate cannot win Arizona if they dont do well in early balloting, said Nathan Sproul, an Arizona Republican strategist who had served as co-chair for Marco Rubios campaign in the state.
Arizona has among the most robust early-voting programs in the country. In Maricopa, the states largest county, early voters in 2016 comprise already nearly 90 percent of the countys total GOP turnout four years ago.

Well all I know is, as far as my personal perceptions of Cruz, I could care less now what happens as far his future or his personal endeavors from this point forward, I just want him out of my life as far as his agenda of Presidency or anything else be it Vice President, Supreme Court or otherwise, it is already too late as far as my liking anything about him.
Also, I used to have a very favorable, though somewhat naive, opinion about Mormons, but this latest antic from Berker type Mormons with this lunatic stuff about Cruz being the fulfilment of some “Mormon prophecy”, that was the oil in the milk that has really turned me to have a tactical “please stay away from me” suspicion of all of this, I hope some Mormons who are not so bizarre understand how much this is giving a bad reputation, unfairly as it may be, to all things Mormon, while I can only speak for myself it would not surprise me that by the time this is over that America is going to have a very suspicious and jaundice eye regarding the LDS that is going to have long term damage.
I will watch the results coming in from Utah, and if analysis shows that persons such as Glenn Beck are now the opportunistic and cultic deranged spokespersons for the Chirch of Later Day Saints and the “leadership” of this sect does not come out and publically disavow Beck and his ilk as not the voice of LDS, then as far as I am concerned the entire LDS is an anathema to me for the rest of my life, and I think I will not be alone. Cruz has hitched his wagon to persons who are much more of a danger to the Constitution than anything “hanging on a thread” Mormon White Horse prophecy that total cultists now say is a prophecy about Cruz, this is Jim Jones stuff now.
I agree. Buckley was a movement conservative, debating ideas and refuting leftist nonsense. Most of radio is just political carnival, persuading no one, winning no converts, and advancing no agendas. Truly, it is mere entertainment with a very few worthwhile exceptions.
You aren’t the slightest factor in the calculus. Felito’s deceits, however, have to be called out.
“Some of us will still be supporting him when you are calling for the impeachment of President Trump.”
Well, at least we are only risking our feeling that Trump will do what he’s said he will do, whereas if, perchance Cruz were to be nominated, the RATs would be in court looking to have him tossed out for not being a natural born citizen. So at least with Trump, we have a legitimate natural-born candidate!
Is that what they're calling "mudslinging" now?
He’s not a stop-Trump candidate.
He is an alternate to the anti-establishment candidate.
