A man shot a burglar who broke into his home Friday in Parkville, Baltimore County police said.
Police said officers responded at 2:26 a.m. to the 2300 block of Harford Hills Road on a report of shots fired. A man at the home told police that he had just shot an intruder.
"He heard the suspect say, 'I'm in your house, I'm coming to get you.' The man armed himself with a gun and closed the door to the room he was in. The suspect kicks in that door. The man, fearing for his life, shoots the suspect several times," Baltimore County police Cpl. John Wachter said.
After the shooting, police said the victim ran from the house, got help and waited for officers to arrive.
Police said they found the suspect in the man's house. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening.
Police do not yet know why the house became a target.

Is that a fairly new law? I have received a FReepmail from someone who purchased the same gun from a licensed gun dealer in CA “a few years back”.
Not sure, I could be in a vegetative state and not have enough time to learn the ins-and-outs of California gun laws.
I prefer it here in New Mexico, where you can purchase any three handguns at three different shops in about a half an hour. Fill out the 4473 and you’re good to go.
