A waitress in Des Moines, Iowa, was stiffed on a tip by a customer who had a beef with her pink hair.
Taelor May Beeck was working at Zombie Burger on Tuesday when one of her customers came to settle a $17.26 tab.
But the customer didnt leave a gratuity just a gratuitous insult, according to the Des Moines Register.
The receipt read: Tips are only for normal looking people.

I love people who have extreme hair, piercings, tattoo’s who are essentially shouting “look at me, look at me, look at me”.
Then when you do notice they yell “ What are you looking at?”....
And? So? A person with a brain that functions will realize their clientele and then maximize their ability to profit. If this person cares so deeply, then clean up. If this is a fluke, then who cares.
Overall, if she looks normal enough to serve them, she looks normal enough to tip.
“I also tip well. I have never waited tables, but have many children of friends who have. They work hard, deal with difficult people, and still have to serve them. I dont forget that when at a restaurant.”
A lot of people don’t know how vital tips are. Many of those service jobs only pay a couple of bucks and hour - $2.13 in my state.
Tips average out however. You will always get the crank, the cheapskate, or the person who is quite literally counting pennies to pay for a scant meal and can barely eke that out. Other customers come in and tip generously. As another poster said, one rolls with the flow. Who deserves the greater tip? The harried waitress who is running a bit behind but holding up two sections at once, or the one who is able to impeccably serve the one customer she is serving?
It’s just a go with the flow kind of thing. I’ve just started moonlighting at this kind of work again, and am glad to have the job. It is impossible to tell who will tip, who won’t, or how much. I just shrug at the goose eggs, mutter a prayer of gratitude for the people who are generous, and move on to the next customer with attention and hospitality.
Trust me, no one goes to Zombie Burger for anything normal.
Look them up on review sites like yelp or even their web page.
This is a scam, or they did leave a tip and the note was a joke, something like that.
So she complains about someone else flipping off the norm by not leaving a tip? Sorry Pinky...ya can't have it both ways.
The handwriting looks very feminine,,, fake. Wants a go fund me money bomb.
I avoid establishments with that word in the title.
Same here.
A very wonderful lady was a waitress at a Pizza Hut for many years.
She did very well in tips and had her choice of hours. For a long time it seemed she was one of few friends I had at the time.
Super people personality.
Is it just me or, “That’s a man baby”
I tip very well, if the service is at least average. I don’t put myself in a tipping situation very often. In OH there’s no tip on take out. If you eat in the tip is 8%. It’s a crazy situation when folks are getting steak dinners to go because tip + tax saved is over 25%!
I’m been to the Zombie burger many a time (no I do not have pink hair). Everybody who goes there knows this is an intentionally “eclectic” place and every worker there has piercings, colored hair, etc. I say this is just some young kid seeking attention. Meh!
Planet Claire has pink air, not hair. Plus, all the trees are red, and no-one has a head.
Man you ruined that song for me!
Because today’s kiddies think that they can dress any way they want and expect to be employable while they are “making a statement”. And the “News” is that “the Man” was mean to them. Buck up, Honey. Tipping has always been optional.
And before anybody goes ballistic about that statement... show me where it’s written that tipping is mandatory.
And if the waiter/waitress is pleasant they get a bigger tip.
I don't want to be scowled at by a grumpy waitperson...:^)
I so do not get the B-52s.
Although Kate is marginally cute.
