A waitress in Des Moines, Iowa, was stiffed on a tip by a customer who had a beef with her pink hair.
Taelor May Beeck was working at Zombie Burger on Tuesday when one of her customers came to settle a $17.26 tab.
But the customer didnt leave a gratuity just a gratuitous insult, according to the Des Moines Register.
The receipt read: Tips are only for normal looking people.

How long until we find out this is a spoof?
She from planet Claire?
He was eating in a place called “Zombie Burger,” what did he expect? Princess Grace?
Right.
After untold number of set-ups, I take all these ‘reports’ with a grain of salt.
Yes, it is customary to tip, but in the end nobody has to. Lord knows liberals never do!
So now hair color is a protected minority?
Yet the supposed customer goes to a place called “Zombie Burger “
lol
“When someone puts hate out there”. Where Wes there any indication of hate?
Why is this news?
Shouldn’t this be in Breaking News.;-)
And how many people have given extra because she’s so cool?
The waitress deserves compensation for her work so I sympathize. On the flip side, appearance and professionalism do impact professional earnings. I don’t know if Zombie Burger is a casual environment where quirky dress and appearance is expected, but regardless of where one works, there is a factor of professionalism in play no matter where one is.
Who cares? Tipping is not mandatory, and if the customer is offended by the waitress’ appearance, he is perfectly entitled to leave no tip. Sure, he may be a jerk for doing it, but if being a jerk was a crime, our prisons would be full and Washington would be a ghost town.
Additionally, one does not go into a restaurant named Zombie Burger and expect the staff to be dressed in Catholic school uniforms. I’m not a fan of piercings and tats, but when I go to my favorite gastro pub I choose to accept that in order to eat the food I’m craving. This story is just a cry of desperation from HuffPo. Read me, read me! We’re still relevant!
More succinctly could have been better directed in saying “You only get one chance to make a first impression.”
If her service was bad, then that is another issue. They could also have asked for a different server and let the management know why. But they did not handle it to be a learning moment, other than to make the server a victim.
B 52’s
Some people disapprove of unnatural hair color
Some employers would not hire her
So what, pink hair is about flipping off the norm anyway
She’ll just gave to learn to roll with it
Ps: most folks who disapprove of the look and the message are simply too polite to tell her
Pink hair seems appropriate to me.
Zombie Burgers waitress,whats the prob?
